The areason I dislike FAB is because "Son of a pimp" was so fuckin wack, not a single good track there; and it's more because the album sucks, not because he is wack

I think that the preponderance of the users on Siccness have a misconception of Mistah F.A.B.'s lyrical aptitude. His regular use of somewhat asinine catchphrases, such as "shaboobalaboopie," definitely contribute to the tainting of his repute, and moreover, is probably the reason why 95% of Fabby Davis haters dislike him. However, for all of you that disparage F.A.B.'s musical ability, I want to recommend that you take the time and listen/buy "Son of a Pimp." Not only does this CD have classic slumpers, such as N.E.W. Oakland and Kicked Out The Club, but it has some of the hardest and deepest tracks that I have heard come out of the Bay since 2Pac passed (i.e. The Mama Song, If Papa Was Home, U R My Angel, etc.). Once you listen to his CD and move past your preconceived notion that F.A.B. is a garbage rapper who tries to popularize himself solely by using made-up words, you will realize his true skill. F.A.B. is the realist spitter in the Bay. More than Quinn. More than Clyde. More than anyone.
he speaks so well!

I feel you on how much of the album was slept on. He really did deliver a complete and well put together album. But, the stuff you're saying FAB is talking about now, has already been said by Quinn. Honestly, I don't jock anyone, I'm a grown ass man, but if you put the whole thing together, delivery, spits, lyrics, style, SALES, and most importantly...LONGEVITY, FAB has some catching up to do before you compare him to QUINN. So keep the Clyde comparisons coming cause that makes more sense.

the answer to this whole post is in the title. its a just a big fuckin MISCONCEPTION!!!

yea fabby has been puttin out nothin but hyphy shit, but you know why? cuz that shit sells. the majority of people who buy albums buy them because of the shit they hear on the radio. and the majority of people (like it or not) are too dumb to listen to a track like "if if was a 5th" and dig it, and also, newsflash....concept tracks are not exactly radio friendly nor are they the hook into buying an album. truth is, club tracks aka hyphy tracks, is the shit that gets a rapper noticed in today's mainstream hiphop radio. and fabby is getting noticed....getting noticed equals album sales....album sales equals the chance to see the versatility that the artist has and what they have to offer besides what originally hooked the consumer into buying the album.
