Last week, we brought information on an upcoming digital entertainment handheld from Microsoft that is supposed to combine the Zune and Xbox platforms into a single portable device.

Last night, a bunch of pictures of a supposed "Zune X" handheld made their way onto the Internet and today we bring you those pictures for you to tell us your opinion.

I don't want to influence you in any way, but I think it's pretty obvious these are...

It looks a little big and not that functional if its giong to be a phone. but its got multi touch on the screen so its not that far off from the iphone. so you think they are going to announce this offically at e3? or is this just some type of prototype?

I hope it turns out better then the N-Gage.. I think a phone/portable gameing system is such a good idea, if the right games are made for it, and all MS has to do is make it capable of XBL and like korp's said include XBL arcade and it's a wrap fasho.

i jus hope that it dosnt look as lame as that thing shown in the pics.. i really think those are probably fake but w/e.

yeah i think that dpad on it is patented (sp?) by sony? so it probably is fake
a dpad is not patented. microsoft has made gamin perpihals for years and they've used dpads before. what about nintendo and their dpads? maybe just that style but its nothing you cant alter slightly. and patents do run out.

PS1 came out in 1994, so they must have had to patent all the parts either in early 94 or 93. patents only last for 16 or 17 years. so that patent might run out within the next year or so.

It would be dope if you could use all the games you have on your hard drive for xblive on a portable device. I would love to play marvel vs capcom 2 on the go when that shit comes out.
