I haven't heard the record in question, perhaps it is a case of misunderstanding in the verse... becuase it would seem like an unwise move on alot of levels
how many Northside records has Mess been on??? that's seems like a lot of networking to me, to not give a fucc what homboys think... Mess is from Frisco so it's makes sense where he would get his support... but eventually a smart business move is to be neutral (ie. No South and North references) that would be understandable as to take it to the next level in sales... but to once get paid off support for those that claim 14 and then give a shout-out to the otherside??? what's that all about???

Personally I never could understand the reason for the funk anyway. But I'm black and grew up in Blood and Crip neighborhoods. It just seemed kinda strange to me how they funk when they live in totally different regions. North and South. I really wish one or some of yall will let us know what this is all about. Maybe that would give us a better understanding. And to be honest, artists really dont give a fuck who buys the record just as long as somebody buys the muthafucka. Shit, a handful of Nortenos and Surenos dont even know why they hate each other.(I.E The one who started this topic..That's if he does happen to bang.) Regardless, if one was to attempt to explain the situation, you will still remain on the outside looking in. Now I cant really speak about Messy because I have yet to hear the song, but if it is true then I agree with No Love 100%.
