Giving it a quick listen through, because the last few Messy CD's I bought I really regretted buying("Hollyhood" the "What You Know Bout Me's") however, I gotta say, I'm 8 tracks in and it's damn good! I think it could have been better and Messy still kinda follows the trend of half assing his cd's but he kills Mitchy on alot of tracks. IMO Mitchy came weak on "Diego to the bay" but Messy came hard as fuck on that song and on "Big Gunz" which IMO, has all around hot verses but a weak hook courtesy of Mitchy.

Anyway, I will definitely be buying this CD as of now, because it is a really good listen. Not as good as I wanted it to be, but still a solid B.

"Soldiers take orders, warriors take off/
gangsters get even and suckas get taped off/
we wakin they game up, about this blue and this red/
one nigga outta pocket, thats 6 in his head/
When we ride up, we ride up thicka than J-Lo/
give yo brotha a shitbag, yo granma a halo/
bring niggas the bidness, what you gona play fo?/
get your G game up, you niggas to playful/
i'd rather be caught with, then without/
nigga talk that shit with my gun in your mouth/....motherfucka/"

Messy spittin heat on "Big Gunz"

Just wanna drop my opinion on this matter here.

The more I listen to this album, the more I like it. ALOT. I really used to only listen to 3 jams on there: One, OK, and Cherish The Thug. Since this has been spinnin in my deck, I've picked up 3 more jams...and for me to say I like 6 jams outta 15 is pretty damn good for an album.

I've never been a Messy fan, but than again, I've never listened to his shit! I remember seeing an album cover of his in the 90's where he's got a dog on a leash, a beenie, and some Master P style letters. I remember just thinking "Nah, not gonna give it a shot".

After listeining to thee Messy Slick album, I have to say dude really has a style to his flow. Some swagger and shit that goes over really smooth on a track. I got a slew of favorite lines from dude on this album, but I see no need to say much more on him.

At first, I did feel that he outshined Slick in general, but after more listens I just don't feel that way anymore. Maybe it was because I had never heard Messy before or something, but I feel these guys both put forth a great effort and came out with some A1 product.

We probably won't get another whole album from these two again, so savor the flavor peoples.
