Weird people used to say e40 never put anyone from the bay on either. He prolly doesn't mean features he prolly means getting them a major deal. Dumb asses think if your on a major you can just walk in the office with 12 shitty rappers and get em all signed.

Too Short is on Wiz Khalifa video getting played on MTV everyday.

Messy is recording shit with his webcam, posting it on youtube, and hoping to get 1000 views.

Lil' Jon isn't from the bay though, so you'd be making Messy Marv's argument for him.
not quite. mentioning lil jon wouldn't be making his argument... because short still put some bay area rappers on his albums and gave them an opportunity. the fact is, he also played a big part in putting lil jon out to the public, but he just happened to be able to run with it all the way.

u misunderstood what i was saying. in a previous post(i think it was in that JT messy diss thread) last week i named alot bay cats short put on. now im saying short isnt selfish that he put niggas from all over on and i was using jon as example bc short didnt just help people he basically changed a few lives. look at the extreme success lil jon had with the crunk era he basically owned rap at one point if it wasnt for short giving him a chance in the late 90s then that wouldve never happened.

Short is a legendary figure in music and theres no denying that bc everybody knows him he stayed original and himself since day one he never hopped on gimmicks or bandwagons to stay relevent he stayed relevent being too short. i could call my mother on the phone right now and ask her if she likes short and she would say she loves too short music. when i was growing up she used to play his albums. Yeah he rapped about plenty bitches but u cant lie his shit was smooth, funky and jammin like a muhfucka.
