Nothing but respect for doing the show, its very much needed. With avenues like this and VJTV the bay has another outlet to get the creativity to the masses. My only issue is that artists should not be paying to appear on the show or to have their videos played. Thats unethical. Paying for advertising is a must but if 50 or Snoop or 40 wanted to be on your show you wouldnt charge them so why charge a less mainstream artist. I understand bills have to be paid and the fee helps seperate the real ones from the cats just doin it for play but whoever is the producer and/or director of the show should be able to effectively choose artist and music to cover on their own merit.

Not everyone has to pay for play...Just the up and comers...When you run a Business like a Magazine or a Video show, you'll find out that $$$ is the main thing that determines one's hustle or seriousness...So those who spend off top, get played...Thats how the Majors work, except theyre playing with Thousands and tens - Hundreds of thousands of Dollars...Soooo $250.00 is a great price for even the sorriest rapper to take advantage of and prosper! Ive produced "Represent the Bay" for over two years and have never charged anybody. Ive been filming it out of love for artist though out the bay small or big. But I prolly will start charging $100 because I have to pay for studio time every taping(I kinda wish I had a store I can shoot for free in). $250 for a young artist is kinda of expensive, when they don't have a video or much to talk about, but to show there cd. But the then again thats the bussiness.

MrGoGetter-The Love is why I started doing this, that is why I continue to focus on Independent artists. Preferably those whose are young in the game. I can help those artists the most! This show isnt for those who just got started, this show is gonna benefit those who have been pushing there music for years and now need a Bigger platform to be seen. Just like your show, before they've never been on TV, you provided them that chance, God Bless you for that! But this show costs too much to not charge off top! There are WAAAY too many artists out there not to. Like I said, not every artist has to pay....Your opinion is valued! Thanks again!
