By all reports, still sounds like the Floyd camp isn't pursuing the fight as much as we'd like. Fat Dan has been saying that, and more reports came out today. I guess Pacquiao's camp game them a 1 month ultimatum to make the fight. Doesn't sound good.

I don't think any of us can know or really even believe anything this Arab group says. Could have been all for publicity, flaunting their money. They say they are going to continue with a card anyways so maybe that was their plan all along. They never mentioned if they talked to Top Rank, HBO, SHO, etc, they just talk about Mayweather so who fucking knows what their intentions were.

I am bro. This is ridiculous. As I have said a bunch of times, I think they've both messed up their opportunities to make the fight in the past, but Floyd is the only one of the two that I've accused of ducking the other guy. If this fight doesn't get made, Floyd flat out ducked the best guy in his era and his legacy is going to take a major hit for it. The sad thing is, I think he can beat Pacquiao, but you can't beat a guy you're afraid to get in the ring with.

They want Floyd to concede and accept Manny's terms like Manny is the undefeated pound for pound champ. If not, it's Floyd's fault, he's ducking. They all seem to bypass the fact that Floyd conceded to all of Oscar's terms when Floyd was the B side.

Manny has lost leverage since losing and fighting C class fighters. That's why Floyd said he's still "begging" for the same split. That's why the negotiations are stalling. Accept 35% of the purse with some of the PPV and fight.

A date has been set, Manny accept the fight and stop pointing fingers at the Mayweather camp. Manny isn't at the top anymore.

One of the members from the Manny Pacquiao camp, namely the Filipino boxer’s adviser Mike Koncz, is giving Floyd Mayweather Jr. until the end of January 2015 to decide if he wants the super fight in 2015 or not.

“We’re giving this until the end of the month,” Koncz said on Monday via tempo.com.ph, the website for a local daily in the Philippines, Pacquiao’s home country. “We’re waiting for word from Floyd.”

Koncz, who is one of the members included in the inner circle of Pacquiao went on to describe the negotiations as “very sensitive” and the article even stated that Bob Arum, the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Top Rank Promotions which handles Pacquiao’s fights, has chosen the path of silence at this point owing to the said sensitivity of the issue.

Ever since admitting that he wants the Pacquiao fight specifically on May 2, 2015 last November, Mayweather has largely been silent about the negotiations. On the other hand, Pacquiao has repeatedly goaded Mayweather on social media about wanting the fight and making it happen for the fans and the sport of boxing.

Meanwhile, in a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao related update, boxrec.com updated their upcoming schedule stating that Mayweather will indeed face Pacquiao on May 2, 2015. The post has since been edited out and deleted. boxrec.com or BoxRec is a known entity to regularly update the win-loss-draw records of past professional boxing fights plus upcoming schedule of all professional fights in the world. The said website has yet to release a statement regarding the addition— then deletion— of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao update.

How has Mayweather been silent? We heard out of his own mouth what the problem is.... Manny over pricing himself out of the fight by "begging" for the same split they had agreed upon before Manny lost (twice) and his numbers slipped.

Meanwhile Floyd has stayed undefeated and has been fighting the better competition. So why are they issuing deadlines?

Didn't HERSEY and others already explain to you the difference between Oscar vs Floyd and Floyd vs Pacquiao? Not even remotely the same.

We all know he deserves less money since losing to Marquez. However beating a pound 4 pound fighter and selling about 850,000 PPV against Bradley II shows he's still a top fighter, a champion and more importantly a big draw.

That's why Floyd said he's still "begging" for the same split. That's why the negotiations are stalling. Accept 35% of the purse with some of the PPV and fight.

SMH..... How could he do that when Mayweather Promotions signed a multi fight deal with Showtime? Come on now..... Wouldn't that be a breach of contract?

I don't know why you Manny fans keeps drinking Manny's kool aid. Just sip it up. Manny says money isn't an issue, Floyd bust him out and says it is an issue because he's still asking for the same split he was asking for before he lost.

Showtime Sports general manager Stephen Espinoza had hoped to sign Mayweather before his last fight and lost out to HBO. This time, he got his man after weeks of tough negotiations.

"It was a very detailed process," Espinoza told ESPN.com. "We put forth a very aggressive offer, and I know Floyd spent a lot of time with (adviser) Al Haymon poring over the details. Ultimately, I was able to bring a lot of the (Showtime and CBS) assets to the table, and with so many of our platforms stepping forward to support it, this was a deal he couldn't refuse."
