Ghost didn't win a single round bro. Pacquiao won four rounds on my card, same as Cotto, more than Ortiz obviously. I don't know why Maidana did so well against Floyd, maybe his crudeness through him off. But you know the saying - styles make fights. Maidana did the best against Floyd than arguably anyone has in Floyd's entire career besides Castillo, but he's not even close to being as good as others Floyd's fought.

I just think at this point in time Pacquiao isn't the same guy he was some years ago. You were calling for him to retire after JMM and said I wanted him to die because I said he should keep fighting lol. We've all witnessed a decline in Pacquiao. Past prime, post Jesus, whatever the fuck he's not the same fighter that destroyed Cotto and Hatton, that much is clear. But for who he is now, he brought it. It just wasn't enough obviously and Floyd was able to control the tempo and neutralize his offense.
All three judges had it 117-111 when Ghost fought Floyd. So yeah, I'd say Ghost did better than Pac. Considering he is a C or B fighter, I'd say he did way better than Pac.

Lol@wanting him to die. The man was clearly outclassed. I thought he had something up his sleeve but he couldn't get it done. He isn't the same fighter and now I'm questioning if the PEDS allegations were actually true. I've always defended him with those accusations but this was basically some other guy in there, not Pac that fought Algeri, JMM, Hatton, Cotto, etc. This was Lanny Pacquiao or some other guy.

It's hard to define what a hater is vs a fan though. You see, I'm a fan of boxing and I bought this fight. I buy all fights because I would really like to see this sport have another fighter get the paydays that Both these fighters get. I feel like I can speak my mind on certain fighters or fights because I buy it. I'm not a hater. A hater is someone that streamed this fight and other ppv fights and criticize these fighters and others that comment on it when in fact they never supported these fighters to begin with. This was sold as the "Fight of the Century" because of all the politics and personal agendas both fighters had. Both promoted like they would put it all on the line and they didn't. Fights like this can make the casual fan a legit supporter of the sport But I feel like it did the opposite. I know this is long but if you streamed this fight and you are clowning the ones that paid for this fight then you are a casual fan and shouldn't be speaking on it.
What you think about my prediction...I said easy work...you said I must not know much?

How many rounds do u think Ghost won? He wasn't able to do shit against Floyd at all, I thought it was a shut out or Ghost won one round based on Floyd not throwing anything. I saw you scoring this fight live, you had it even after 6 rounds so obviously Pac did better than Guerrero. At no point of the fight was Guerrero even or even competitive. Pacquiao was competitive, even in most of the rounds he lost say 1 or 2.

Lol@wanting him to die. The man was clearly outclassed. I thought he had something up his sleeve but he couldn't get it done. Same guy that fought Algeri but massive difference in class in skill obviously. I don't know why one would jump to the conclusion of PEDs. 6 years and getting KTFO (put to SLEEP) is enough for a decline. It wasn't a sudden decline either like Roy Jones or someone like that who was great one fight then shit the next. I and many others have been saying he's past prime prior to Marquez (I picked JMM to win). You could see his killer instinct gone especially against Bradley 1 where he just went through the motions like he didn't care at all. Whatever fire he had was gone. We saw it come back briefly against Marquez when he was forcing it and he got iced. Most fighters, especially ones from the smaller weight classes, don't make it to their mid 30s on the top level. Pac's been a pro since he was 15 years old, too many wars, too much mileage man. You said yourself he was done on an elite level after he got KTFO by JMM, not sure why this outcome is surprising to you.

Right, that's what I'm saying by Floyd neutralized Pac's offense with his straight right, and he was doing it like 20 seconds into the fight, he made Pac weary of it early. It's the same kind of reason why Pac always struggled with Marquez and in those fights he never threw as much as he normally does. Floyd says he doesn't watch tape, but he's bullshitting, he and his dad surely watched the Marquez fights repeatedly. Pac is open for it when he lunges in and attacks.

Pacquiao is not an inside fighter at all, he gets in and then out, that's his style so it was always going to be ab uphill battle. Where he fucked up is no side to side movement, against Floyd, actually since Mosley probably, Pac for some reason attacks in straight lines now. What made him a dynamic offensive fighter in the past was that he would spin his fighters around, get them out of position and attack. He doesn't do that anymore.

Anyways, when I hear people say Pacquiao didn't bring it, to me it irritates me because it's not giving Floyd the credit he deserves. It's the same type of shit I would hear after a Hopkins fight - Pavlik, Tarver, Trinidad, they didn't bring the fight to Hopkins, they had off nights etc, no! It was Hopkins who neutralized their offense by all the subtle shit he does in the ring. Same thing here with Floyd and Pac - Floyd took away most of Pac's weapons. Sure, he clinched when he got too close or was in the ropes, or got the fuck out of the corner but what is he supposed to do, stand there and let Pac tee off on him? That's not Floyd's game, that's not what brought him here to the top, so he fought smart. If Pacquiao isn't used to getting clinched, or doesn't know how to fight out of a clinch effectively, that's not Floyd's problem.
Go back and look at ALL Pacquiao's opponents when Manny used to be able to have side to side footwork: Rios, Oscar, Margarito, Marquez, Clottey, Barrera, Morales...are you starting to see a common denominator with these fighters? They are all standing still for 12 rounds. The reason he couldn't do that to Floyd is because Floyd is constantly shifting his center...so Manny can't over commit one way or the other when trying to come in at an angle...it was the smart and cautious maneuver to go straight and not get caught to far out of position.

Pacquiao could have backed out at an angle shifting to Floyd escape rout off the ropes...and when moving forward Manny should have shaded over to Mayweather's left side...covering Floyd's open doorway. For an orthodox boxer it harder to move to your right shoulder...easier to move towards your left shoulder...Pacquiao needed to shade over to Mayweather's left shoulder and force Floyd to move to the right shoulder...cutting off the ring would have been much easier. Freddy Roach was bullshitting for 2 months with whatever he was teaching Pacquiao.

Turns out Pacquiao did actually fight with a shoulder injury after all. Confirmed by the commission who leaned of his injury the day of the fight. I don't think that's the reason he lost though.

Pacquiao Could Face Suspension or Fine From NSAC

By Edward Chaykovsky

Manny Pacquiao could face disciplinary action from the Nevada State Athletic Commission for failing to disclose a shoulder injury prior to his twelve round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. this past Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

According to Fox Sports, Nevada Athletic Commission chairman Francisco Aguilar said Monday that the state attorney general's office will investigate as to why Pacquiao checked "no" a day before the fight on a commission questionnaire asking if he had a shoulder injury.

Pacquiao could face a possible fine or suspension for not answering the question accurately on a form he filled out prior to last Friday's official weigh-in.

Following Pacquiao's loss to Mayweather, the boxer and his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank revealed that Manny had suffered a right shoulder injury several weeks ago in training camp. An MRI was taken weeks ago and revealed a tear.

The twelve round fight further aggravated the injury, which is now being reported to be a torn rotator cuff. Pacquiao will undergo surgery which is likely going to keep him out of the ring until next year.

Aguilar says the commission first became aware of the injury about 90 minutes before the fight, when Pacquiao's camp made a request for the boxer to get an anti-inflammatory shot on his shoulder, which the NSAC denied because they had no knowledge or confirmation of an actual injury. Arum says USADA [US Anti-Doping Agency] approved the anti-inflammatory medication.

These are some rules from the WBC that I feel were enforced by all refs in all fights to all fighters, Mayweather would have been defeated years ago:

2. Use of elbows, shoulders or forearms.
13. Excessive holding the opponent or maintaining a clinch.
15. Stepping on the opponent.
16. Holding the opponent’s head or body with one hand while hitting wi th
the other.
17. Using the open hand to position or rub the glove on the opponent’s
face.
18. Thumbing the opponent’s eyes.

He's known for doing all this shit and everyone calls it "great defense?" Imagine all these points that would have been deducted would force him to box more than just running and killing time so he won't get hit. Any other fighter would have an L or draw of DQ but since Floyd brings in all the money, let him get away with it. But it's great defense

I also recall Jesus Chavez doing decently against Floyd prior to the stoppage. Maidana had a similar approach, and I think that's the only way you can realistically beat him. Create and force mistakes even if that means getting popped along the way. Unless there is someone out there with a significantly bigger reach, has decent speed, and is well versed defensively & offensively, no one is beating Floyd anytime soon. At one point I was hoping to see him in there against Paul Williams...

Floyd Mayweather Tells Stephen A. Smith He Would Be Willing to Fight Manny Pacquiao Again | Complex

Is Mayweather/Pacquiao II going to happen?

After seeing how the first fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao played out on Saturday night, we don't necessarily want to see a rematch between the two boxers. We're pretty sure we already know what would happen during it. But according to Stephen A. Smith, Mayweather texted him to let him know that he would be open to the idea of fighting Pacquiao again in a year, once Pacquiao rehabilitates his injured shoulder:

ESPN First Take ✔@ESPN_FirstTake
Stephen A. says @FloydMayweather just sent him a text that he will give M @Manny Pacquiao another shot in a year.

Do people actually want to see that fight, though? So far, they don't sound too excited. Scroll down to see some of their responses.

Send all complaints, compliments, and tips to [email protected].

Lmao so obvious

He just want to crack 200 mill on a fight before retiring, even though I doubt any casual fan will pay for that fight again.
Not as many, but certainly crack a mil.

Lol looks like we have a rematch
maybe. Pacquiao is going to have surgery and will be out for the rest of the year, Mayweather is fighting again in September probably against someone like Amir Khan or Keith Thurman. After that, maybe Mayweather retires, maybe there's another big fight, who knows. I remember after the Oscar fight they said they were going to rematch after Floyd fought Hatton first and Floyd ended up turning it down and retired for two years.

I doubt it, I think Floyd retires after the Showtime deal ends. He will only make bout half what he made if he fought Manny again which is superb for anyone else on this planet but i dont think its enough for him to prevent him from retiring. Theres no way in hell most people would pay $100 for the rematch

^^^^ Just like allowing Margarito (Top Ranked fighter for the dont knows) to fight Cotto the 2nd time with a eye he could barely see out of. Even worse Margarito should have damn near been banned from the sport yet got a big payday against Manny and Cotto after getting busted with the loaded gloves right before the Mosley fight
