Mayweather vs Marquez To Be Shown in Movie Theaters

Earlier today, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer announced that Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez, on September 19, will be available in movie theaters across the nation. Schaefer said this was project that he was working on for a very long time and waited for the right fight to make it happen. Schaefer wanted to bring boxing back to movie theaters.

“It will bring the younger audience back to boxing. Over 1,500 screens across the nation will show a 30 second commercial when you sit down in the movie theater and it will run before the feature [film] begins. On the night of the fight, 170 theaters in all major markets will carry the fight and give fans another way to enjoy this historic showdown,” Schaefer said.

Pretty much. I'm just very selective with who I watch fights with. There are only 2 or 3 people that I can really watch with. Other people break simple rules that drive me nuts.

Don't talk during the round unless it's about the fight, and even at that keep it short and simple.

Shut up when the corner man is talking between the rounds, need to hear the pointers.

Once the fight is over it doesn't mean your voice can supercede the commentator doing the interviews, I need to hear the post fight comments.

Last thing I need is a bunch of people screaming around me to watch a fight, when they probably watch boxing once or twice a year and are only there because the "mega fight" party supplied food and alcohol.

A lot of times I just watch the fights by myself. Or a couple friends who have been watching with me since we were kids.

Other than that, I fucking hate people.

this is big for boxing, shit ima have to sneak a few drinks inside. should be a lot of tension in the room in big fights like this
