i got a problem with migg he says marquez won round 12? LOL what a joke dismiss the rest! can you argue who gains the most by the draw? Thought So! like i said migg is only giving credit for round 1 wow! for you info i been watching boxing before i can remember at what age.i'm familiar with alot of fighters but don't know everything i watch it solely for the science and fun of it.
Check my score card,
I gave rounds 9 and 10 to Pacquiao.
Cleen,
Marquez was not seriously hurt to prompt the refferee to stop the fight.
They were all flash knockdowns, taking the oportunity away from a champ like that and not giving him the benefit of the doubt is wrong. Remember how Jay Nady stopped the fight on Zab Judah when he fought Tzsyu? That was bullshit....
Everyone saw how Marquez bounced back and regained control of the fight,
that is the reason why you let certain fighters continue. Here's a perfect example of a fight where one guy is battered but has the skills to bounce back.
So your theory of a biased reff is out the window.
Now you lost me on the part where you're saying that "he" controlled 5 or 6 rounds and got whooped in the 10th. Who are you reffering to?
Even Freddy told Pacquiao that he needed to start throwing more than one punch at a time.
All the cat had was a straight left that hardly landed outside of rounds 1, 9, and 10.
He landed the left in in rounds 7 and 12 but Marquez fired back landing more punches in those rounds. Pacquaio was landing in single digits man. You cannot win a fight like that.
Even if you have such a big first round.
At the end of the night, Marquez had a 22 power punch lead on him.
I don't know why people are whinin about this fight, even the associated press scored the fight a draw. You have to admit that it could've gone either way....
As far as the scoring goes, I already explained that in another thread.
Not all judges score a 3 knockdown round as low as 6.
Many times they'll score it as 10 - 7.
And this is due to the fact that the 3 knockdown rule used to be in effect and fights never went past 3 knockdowns per round. So judges have gotten used to scoring rounds as low as 7 points.
Now that the 3 knock down rule is in effect, many judges will score the round a 7 even if a fighter goes down 3 times. Hell you don't even have to go down to be only given 8 points. I've seen judges score rounds that low when a guy really gets battered.
Point is, scoring rounds is completely subjecitve
There is no mandatory point deduction for a knock down so that throws this other theory out the window. Just ask Mark Ratner, head of the Nevada state athletic commission,
he already said the Pacquiao has no grounds for a protest....
Now if you're gonna throw another theory in the mix about Ratner being on Arums payrole,
take this into consideration;
Bob Arum accused Ratner of basically fixing Mosley's decision win over De La Hoya....
When asked to step up and bring his allegations to the table by Ratner, Arum was quick to pull back. Even De La Hoya kept his mouth closed....
Peace,
Miggidy
