Seems pretty official. Head of Texas combat sports said Margs will be approved.

Nice thing about this is it's already looking to have a solid card featuring:

Cuban sensation Guillermo Rigondeaux
And rising MW prospect Mike Jones (WHO?!)

Hopefully they give both Rigondeaux and Jones live bodies.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rigo fight someone like Mtagwa, Cordoba or the kid that just upset Chris Avalos, Chris Martin .. and there's plenty of good fights for Jones at 147 that would be a step up .. Lanardo Tyner who just stomped out Smith, Jo Jo Dan who just got robbed against Aydin and any number of tough prospects and older veterans that he could take on.

real talk naner. And even if they both fight bums it's a big step up from the horrible Pac vs Clottey undercard.

I would rather watch some extremely talented future star like Rigo knockout a bum then the shit card they had that night.

Shit speaking of that undercard how about Jones Vs. Alphonso Gomez? Both promoted by Arum and we all know Gomez isn't going anywhere higher than where he is right now. Might as well have him test Jones and if Jones can't get past Gomez then we know where he stands.

.. and yeah that was a pretty shitty undercard. Soto/Diaz wasn't a terrible matchup on paper it just didn't turn out as anything that great in the ring. The other 2 undercard shouldn't have made it to a PPV. Those were Fox Sports fights all the way.

I agree 2-0. They need to put Donaire on this card. Give him some much needed exposure.

Glad Rigondeaux and Jones are slated to fight as well.

Rigondeaux has some skills I'm just waiting to see him in there with a live body. I like what i see from Mike Jones also. I just don't see this fight doing much more then the Manny vs Cottley fight around 800K in PPV buys. I do think it's going to be an action packed fight card.

well, who knows. Clottey was absolutely unknown to the casual fan, pacquiao sold that fight all by himself. Margarito still has a fanbase, and on top of that, he's a villain which means people want to see him get hurt. So yeah, I can see this doing better than 800,000. On the other hand, the only reason I can see this NOT doing better is because people are getting fed up and want Pacquiao vs Mayweather now. But I think most people realize at this point it's not pacquiao's fault floyd is on "vacation" (even though he admits now he wants to fight in December!)

I did some googlin and searching around and I found some rumors that it could very well be Cordoba against Rigo. If so that would be sick. I know a lot of people don't realize this guy beat Celestino Caballero and only narrowly lost to Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym. Of course his fight with Bernard Dunne was a classic. I hope he's the opponent.

Yeah Cordoba's extremely underrated .. especially after the fight with Dunne. If that's the fight Rigondeaux ends up with it certainly ain't no gimme fight. Cordoba is tall, has good enough power to hurt people, and can really box from the outside. He was winning pretty handily against Dunne .. Dunne just wasn't being beaten on the night.

Margarito = Mexican. Texas = lots of Mexicans. Better undercard.
I think so, yes.

ALSO, there is still talk about getting Nonito Donaire on the undercard as well. If so, that's money well spent (Pacquiao, Margarito, Donaire, Rigo, Mike Jones, shiiiit)
WHO?
