Hayward man dies in Hwy. 24 crash
OAKLAND — A man killed Sunday morning after his car went down an embankment off state Highway 24 in Oakland has been identified as 21-year-old Hayward resident Jesus Felipe Sida, the Alameda County coroner's office reported.
The California Highway Patrol received a report of a solo-vehicle crash at 7:19 a.m. just off the connector ramp between Highway 24 and southbound Highway 13. According to CHP Officer Tracy Hoover, Sida's vehicle was found about 100 feet down the embankment.
Sida was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers closed the connector ramp for just over an hour as they investigated the collision.
