You're right about it being a video game, but my points are that:
There are very MINOR differences in this game than the previous game.
Because they are so minor they should either offer this game at a lower price (like $30 perhaps) since it's basically the exact same game with a few differences, or better yet, release a game every two years and just update the game the year in between. Why is this better? So the game developers can have 2 full years to work on improvements and truly create a new game.
Madden 10 isn't a new game. It's Madden 9.5.

There's a lot of things they can do to make the game better, but they just don't bother. First of all, they can add more to their playbooks. That's the main thing that bothers me. We've been running the same plays in Madden for years. The only new plays I've discovered in Madden 10 come in the Wildcat formation. Other than that, they're all the same. Another thing is the commentary. It's not a large base and you hear the same shit over and over and over as you play. They can add a lot of new animations so we don't see the same tackles and catches every year (this year there are a few new animations, but they could have done a lot better). They can put more work into Franchise Mode and make it more interractive and if nothing else, provide more entertainment. I can go on and on.
I think one of the main reasons everyone gets pissed is because Madden owns the exclusive rights to the NFL so it has no competition. If the 2K series still had the rights to make NFL games I'm pretty sure Madden would step up it's game to beat out Sega's product. They just don't give a shit because they have no competition and nobody threatening their sales.

Me? Nothing personally. Madden will sell no matter how many people send them complaints (they already get a shit load every time a new game drops).
The main problem is they have no competition because EA has the rights to the NFL players so it's a monopoly of sorts. That's why EA can get away with releasing a shitty game, or a good game that's hardly any different than the previous game.
If there were another company out there that also had the rights to the NFL, EA wouldn't get away with this shit cuz everyone would jump ship.

everyoen who i know who's played the demo is tellin me to get it. and it's more realisitc with speed of players and game play....
commentary will piss me off tho...i usually talk shit to them and tel them to shut the fuck up...but i can't play the game without it cause then i'm not "in the game." if i listen to music hella loud over the gameplay sound i get distracted lol....

just downloaded it and played three games...i like the running a lot better, but the picks were nonstop...and at least half the picks got returned for tds. my boy played as the saints, and if reggie bush got ANY open field, he just shitted on anybody who came near him. still gotta let it reaaally sink in, but it seems pretty legit. the graphics are dope.
