yea didnt that shit drop last year, or at least 2001, that shit at first to me was alright but like that other guy said it does grow on you, now imaculate was straight heat,
Yeah, MACKIN SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS came out last year (2002). The production is a little more stripped-down than what you might be used to from a Mac Mall CD, but once you get past that, it's well worth copping. Only tracks I wasn't feeling were "Picture This" and "Imagine." Everything was else was decent-to-dope, IMHO.
IMMACULATE was cool once you got used to it--for some reason, some of the tracks sounded kind of East Coastish (maybe it's just me, I don't know), but that CD successfully did what ILLEGAL BUSINESS 2000 wanted to do, but didn't quite achieve: combine street shit with more "positive", consciousness-themed tracks.
As with MACKIN SPEAKS LOUDER..., IMMACULATE's not a first choice, but both CDs are cool if you like Mac Mall and if you're not TOO stuck in the 1994-96 era. PEACE!
