The question is simple, the answer maybe complex. Can Ugly Nigga match or surpass the Legendary figure of Mac Dre? Can Kobe Bryant eclipse the worldly specter of Michael Jordan? Did Mike Tyson in his prime come close to Ali. Biggie was big...but Pac was large...and Jay-Z is still chasing ghosts. It maybe safe to say that over 5 million people know of the Vallejo legend Mac Dre. His musical resume is imposing, influence, may be historical. On or around 200,000 people around the Bay are aware of the cultish figure and ground swell of Ugly Nigga. What has become truly remarkable is the fact that he has become such a presence without having released an album, much less a single.

Is it to early to entertain the fantasy topic of Legend vs Phenomenon? Does he have the charisma, the skill and the savvy to impress upon the Bay Area his imprint?

Let's take into consideration that there aren't any radio stations, magazines, street teams or street flyers that have heralded his arrival. None. Yet he can be found on any given night represented by cats in the street who hold it down on any perspective corner, club goers who filter out on the weekend, women and young teens. His image, his brand, much like that of Mac Dre's is captured on a shirt. For the moment only the colossal figure of Dre looms larger. Local rappers have sported Ugly Nigga t's on stage form Stockton to Sacramento to San Jose and Oakland. Hunters Point and Filmore in San Fran have adorn the image where figures like San Quinn and JT the Bigga Figga are legend . Sometimes, most times, we fall victim to prematurely anointing some one great before their career is over with. Society builds you up only to rip you down when given the chance. Is this article a beginning to the build up...maybe? Fallen heroes are forever, just ask Jay-Z, who has accomplished 3 life times and counting, in the music business.

The love that hip hop shares for Pac and Big can only leave him wondering, "What more can I say? What more can I do?"

Maybe, just maybe, this article will be a small glimpse into what may be unprecedented. Let’s understand this, the UGLY NIGGA AFFECT, is one that has seen an artist bring before them the pageantry and hoopla that proceeded themselves akin to the likes of Lebron James, Tiger Woods, or an Oscar DeLahoya. Obviously not on that planetary scale but seen somewhere orbiting in the distance. If we analyze it in terms of Bay Area music then the comparisons are relevant. He’s in a universe all his own. It would take 90% of the local artist years to build up to this type of Bay Area presence. With a successful song, he would become a runaway meteor.

UGLY NIGGA T'S is the first release, along with WHAT TYPE OF NIGGA (is you) to filter out to the public under the record company Project Building Noise. At press, the count will be 50,000 cds followed by a full scale marketing and promotions tour. There is no crime to speculate early how great one can become. The pressure lies on Ugly Nigga’s shoulders. This is the world he created for himself, Mac Dre vs Ugly Nigga, Ugly Nigga vs Mac Dre. There is someone in the distance and he’s bringing a lot of people with him.

Does he have the right stuff to do it?>

i think it'd be funny if I wore an UGLY NIGGA shirt.

lol.
no, I think it'd be funny if you wore an "Ugly Nigga" shirt and a group of distinguished gentlemen in Girbaud shuttle jeans & white tees took offense and beat your ass while someone recorded it on cellphone then posted it on youtube.
