I was just curious if anybody got the chance to read the poem that was on the stand where you were to sign your name... I had to read it hella fast cause the lady was trying to get everybody to move on through.. Shit was sad, but the one thing i got from it was to not cry any tears for him after he passed.. anyone else read that?

yea it was somethin like that, don't cry 4 him etc....I guess it juss meant celebrate his life instead of being all upset about his passing....and 4 the most part, it was great, everybody payed their last respects in the church and then got stupid or what not outside celebrating....it ain't like shots were fired or fights broke out or anything....it was a good day.

Sideshows? Putting it on a DVD? dam...what the fuck are you thinking? It doesnt matter was Dre wanted, you got to understand, The Hick's family is there seeing their father, uncle, son, cousin in a casket, and your saying it was cool to have side shows and your going to put it on a DVD? dam...REPSECT the family

Listen patna.... I got love for Dre as well. It was off the hook (take that as you want.) I didn't say anything about producing a DVD myself. The fact remains that there was a 'lil side show that jumped off and there was dozens and dozens of people with cams. Sh*t probly will be a dvd. Ya know im sick of people tryna pick apart someones post and critisize. Every other thread on here got someone talkin' bad about someone. If you feel so strongly maybe you shoulda been out there to stop the DISRESPECT... Different people deal wit' things differently. Anywayz the turn-out was great and i felt a lovely vibe in the air... YALL GOTTA UNDERSTAND THAT AN ARTIST HAS MANY DIFFERENT FACES...NO MATTER HOW 'REAL' YOU ARE. WHAT YOU PUT ON WAX IS MOST OF THE TIME COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THEN THE LIFE YOUR LIVING. SURE HE HAD FUN AND DID HIS THING...BUT HE WAS ALSO A GROWN ASS MAN WITH A FAMILY....DO YOU REALLY THINK ACTING LIKE IDIOTS AT HIS WAKE WAS RESPECTFUL? THIS SHIT MAKES ME SICK. DANA ALREADY PUT A PROCLAIMER OUT SAYING TO PLEASE NO SIDE SHOWS NO STUPID ASS HYPHY SHIT...THEN LOOK FOOLS JUST HAD TO ACT AN ASS AND DISRESPECT THIS MANS FAMILY IN THEY'RE TIME OF GRIEF.
I FEEL BAD THAT THE FAM HAD TO GO DEAL WITH THAT SHIT...

it was cool. i mean that was a rap star's viewing and it is bound for hundreds of people outseide to get hyphy with his music, im not saying it was right, but it's inevitable. the vibe was so good though, no kind of bad vibes anywhere (atleast from my perspective).

the only thing that bugged me and was hella ghetto was folks with their picture phones all up in the casket for damn 10 minutes tryna take hella angles of him. i thought that was whack, even the ushers were looking at these folks, like MOVE ON and GET OUT THE WAY!

I feel what you are saying homie but come to think of it, a good number of peeps that probably went to the viewing dont come to this site or know of this site, im sure alot of people just from the city were there, you cant blame peoples actions at the viewing and think it was peeps from this site acting up.

We went to the viewing to pay our respects and I know peoples intentions were good for the most part but it was really unbelievable to me because I wasn’t expecting it, to see people dancing, smoking weed, drinking, passing out flyers, dozens of people with cameras and video recorders and some taking pictures of Dre in his casket while his family members are sitting there in the front row of the church and some standing right next to Dre grieving uncontrollably. Someone a few feet in front of me actually squatted down & posed in the church and took a picture about 10 feet away from Dre while his friend had the video camera rolling. I know what people mean when they say an event like that was to be a celebration of his life but to think of his family sitting there watching it sadden me even more.
