im all for artists posting on here. just wanna say its a damn shame everytime duna posts something on here we get the same clowns bringing up the same tired shit about he shouldnt use mac dre's name. same goes for all the ap9 posts. i clicked the youtube vid and enjoyd the interview. i would have never seen it if he didnt come here to promote it.

its pretty fuckin obvious that they are doing it mostliy to gain Bay Area fans.. look at any concert footage and u will see rappers like Drake, Noreaga, snoop, curren$y saying mac dre's name when they in the bay... why don't they say it in LA, NYC or Houston? Drake, Yo Gotti and Young Jezzy shouted out Dre on songs that OBVIOUSLY had Bay Area type beats cuz they knew that Bay Area cats might listen to the song cuz of the beat and threw in the "RIP Mac Dre" to gain respect from Bay cats....

Well yeah they are doing it to get a reaction from the crowd. If they shouted him out in NYC people wouldn't know who they are talking about. I'm sure they shout out Soulja Slim in New Orleans or Big L in NYC cause these guys are the legendary dead rappers from their region.

ice burgundy (bricksquad) takes dre lines wholesale and verbatim and puts them all in over his raps and i haven't heard him say the words 'MAC DRE' ever in his raps. i fuck w/it.
dre was functioning with these foos big homies in the feds in the 90s some of these dudes put their youngsters on game and they became rappers. guarantee dre had connects in LA, new orleans, atlanta, miami, ny, north carolina, DC, etc. dre was the type who's reputation as a rapper and a gangster proceeded him everywhere he went people wanted to get down w/the bay guy and that shit gets passed around. diggs the same way too.

Why does the bay go crazy every time Mac Dre is mentioned by a bigger artist? Since when is a hip hop legend being mentioned something special? Tupac, Biggie, Big L, etc. all get mentioned every album but people don't care. Yes, Dre wasn't/isn't as big, but he's still a legend and his name popping up in a song shouldn't be news.
