San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson was diagnosed Tuesday with a second degree knee sprain of the medial collateral ligament that will require at least six more weeks to heal, according to his agent, Tom Condon.

Condon told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Tomlinson was examined by Los Angeles orthopedic specialist Dr. Neal Elattrache, who said the injury was positioned near an attachment that also "caused disruption of the hamstring fibers."
"The doctor said this is the type of injury that would seriously hamper LaDainian's ability to cut or push off the leg," Condon said. "His quadriceps muscle had already atrophied one inch. He absolutely can't play in the Pro Bowl and there shouldn't be any question as to why he couldn't go when [the Chargers] played New England."

^^^^^^^^^there you go. Like I said in my previous posts. We didn't know how serious his injury was. And why not shop the guy to see what you can get in return. If nothing seems appealing, then you keep him. Simple as that. It doesn't take a rocket scientist.

My reasoning is the fact that sports is a business. Simple as that. Don't look at this from a fans point of view. Pretend you are a GM/Owner/VP and you're aware of how serious his injury is- why not shop the guy to see what you can get in return. I don't think I have to keep reiterating myself.
An injury is an injury. But how serious is the injury is the question. How will it effect his abilities? Obviously, this injury is quite serious.

lol at dudes gettin all butt hurt about the possiblity of LT gettin traded, as it says on the headin' it says "LT trade rumor" not "LT is gonna get traded" dude is ur franchise player period but this is a business 1st and foremost they dont need LT just 2 go to the superbowl, he dont play defense, he aint on special teams, franchises are worried about now not yesterday and as soon as a injury pops up they plan on ur replacement
