i keep seein people say hes wants to be eminem....i dont see the comparison

he looks different, has a different flow, different voice, different swagger....

only thing they got in common is that theyre both beast
I dont understand dudes saying this either. Today on another board I saw someone make a comment that said Locksmith is a very poor mans EMINEM. I dont see the comparision either personally, but what eva.

Eminem is a damn good rapper, but he just aint for me, period. Locksmith I can take way more serious then Eminem, although I did enjoy his very first album and the odd song here and there.

There really isnt anyone in the game that I can compare Locksmith to, he kind of on his own level.

lock got stupid spits!

side question: how many of you rolled around bumping canibus in the late 90's? i didnt.
2nd Round Knockout was about the only canibus track I bumped.
Dude has probably the worst beat selection next to Joe Budden. I cant bump rap music that has wack beats, period. Sure dudes got good lyrics, but good lyrics with wack beats just doesnt interest me at all.

On that first Frontline album he reminded me of Em way to much. Just the same type of way he was rapping. I dont understand how Lock never blew up, you would have thought MTV would have gave him a big push considering he made it to the finals on there show. Just shows there no appreciation for real rappers (lyrics) especially in the West.

I hope he is.....Lupe one the few MC's that can still make noise on the mic...

I'd like to see cats like Kenn Starr, Torae, Skyzoo, Murs, Awolf, Hieroglyphics get that shine nation wide...

i mean most of those cats do have a big fan base...but I'm talking about nation wide....

I'm tired of a lot of music that's being played now a days..........
