he may be the one tho to change the game again if you think about it the mainstream rappers like lupe fiasco who make good hip hop songs are about to come back again with new material so you never know but what the fuk do i know right
he sounds very hungry and for good reason. imo, the best in the bay. how can his talent be denied by so many. if the bay needs to support an artist capable of kicking some doors open it is this man right here. not even a close second.
I dont understand dudes saying this either. Today on another board I saw someone make a comment that said Locksmith is a very poor mans EMINEM. I dont see the comparision either personally, but what eva.
Eminem is a damn good rapper, but he just aint for me, period. Locksmith I can take way more serious then Eminem, although I did enjoy his very first album and the odd song here and there.
There really isnt anyone in the game that I can compare Locksmith to, he kind of on his own level.
2nd Round Knockout was about the only canibus track I bumped.
Dude has probably the worst beat selection next to Joe Budden. I cant bump rap music that has wack beats, period. Sure dudes got good lyrics, but good lyrics with wack beats just doesnt interest me at all.
On that first Frontline album he reminded me of Em way to much. Just the same type of way he was rapping. I dont understand how Lock never blew up, you would have thought MTV would have gave him a big push considering he made it to the finals on there show. Just shows there no appreciation for real rappers (lyrics) especially in the West.
