^^lol Fab thinks he can compete because Fab is the "Freestyle King." Lock doesn't freestyle everybody that goes up against him knows his shit is written. If Fab goes up against Lock in a battle were Lock is allowed to use his pen, Fab has NO chance. But if it's all freestyles, Fab gets the edge.

I think that battle rap is like Mixed Martial Arts...you bring your ass to the octagon and compete. You can't tell a wrestler "no leg locks" or a striker "no ground and pound...the other guy isn't that good at that". You battle with what you are a beast at. Plus battle rap has evolved into a more complex showing of skills and skill sets. I think fab is a good battle rapper, but Lock is an elite battle rapper and lyricist. To be totally honest I wouldn't even compare the two (and we wouldn't had it not been for the battles they had in the past) because they are in different worlds with what they do, but the good thing is they both represent the Bay.

I couldn't agree more. Lock is on a level all by himself. And I also agree with your mixed martial arts analogy, the thing is, Rap Battles have rules. If the pre-determined rules are "FREESTYLE," "Off The Top Of The Head," that is what the battle should be. If the battle is anything goes, then that is what the battle should be. When Mistah F.A.B. battles, he is 100% "Off The Head." Locksmith is the opposite.

Comparing Lock and Fab is kinda like comparing Kobe and Shaq. Can't really be done because they play two different positions, and are dominant in different ways. Kobe would get beat to a pulp if he tried to hang with Shaq on the block, and Shaq would get completely embarrassed if he tried to stick Kobe up top. Same with Locksmith and his pen vs. Fab and his "off the top."

Real talk...Now back to the battle.

I just listened to that shit again and it wasn't that dude didn't have some shit, because the Camel on 20's and the Capt-In-America line lines were on point, but Lock's whole thing was gas. It's almost like he got stronger as the rounds went on. It was a combo of Ill, whit, timing and hard punchlines.

LOCK IS ONE OF THE BEST NO DOUBT..ITS NOT ONLY HIS LINES, BUT HIS DELIVERY..HE'S GOOD WITH ADJUSTING HIS VOICE FOR THE PUNCH LINES AND THROWS IN PAUSES TO GRAB PPL'S ATTENTION..

HONESTLY THE OTHER GUY WASN'T THAT BAD, BUT HIS DELIVERY WAS A LIL LACKING..I BET LOCK COULD HAVE USED THAT DUDES VERSES AND MADE THEM SOUND 100X BETTER JUST THRU HIS WORD DELIVERY

That seems like it has nothing to do with either one of them. They are talking a lot of Miami shit and these are California artist. Maybe you read the wrong thing.
