I know Linux is free but is it hard to use? How many of you used linux and windows, and which one do yo prefer? Also what's the best Linux Cd-rom out there?

really? I'm curious to see what it's like. I'm getting red hat linux right now for my desktop. Linux has no mouses? I'm curious to see what it looks like.

I use Suse linux. It's the best IMO, but there are others that are good too. A free one that's good for beginers is Mandrake. But linux is far from difficult to use... And most distributions come with a free MS Office compatible suite, and everything else you could want.

i use both, redhat 9 and winXP. linux is so much better, but it doesn't work with my wireless card (WPC54G fuck linksys), so i don't use it too often for the time being.

linux IS harder to use than windows, but it's fucking worth it. there's so much more to linux and it's FREE and most (all?) of it's software is FREE.

DId you pay for Suse? Also, it's far from difficult to use? Isn't there like commands you have to know? How did you learn how to use Linux? Was there a manual you learned from or was there a tutorial on the cd-rom or did you just fool around with it and got the hang of it?

whats the deifference between the two.... i never quite understud what the hell linux was about.... i hear people talk about it but i dont even wanna ask cuzz i probably wouldnt know... so can anyone break it down in 50 words or less????<--- i made it sound like an assignment....but for reals any one?

linux is a operating system just like windows xp, the difference is that linux is free software. but dont get linux if you intensions are to play the lastest games.
