I think so too, but just think, if he did and he stayed 4 years like Brandon Roy did and this was Bassy's senior year and he shredded his ankle like that, maybe no NBA $ and hello temp agency or playing basketball in Turkey or something like that. I dont know if his ankle is that bad or not, but I'm just saying.
Thats why I was happy for Greg Oden that he got drafted first overall before getting that microfracture sugury, it would have sucked to hurt yourself right before the draft and cost yourself tens of millions of dollars.

Telfair had all sorts of hype coming out of HS in Coney Island, I think an entire documentary movie was made about him called entering the NBA called "The Jump", idk if it was on espn, but maybe. With the Fabulous situation -- Telfair got his chain snatched outside a restauraunt where Fab and his entourage were at and an hour later, some of Fabs entourage were shot.... so, um, yeah, for what that's worth. When Telfair was with Portland a few months prior to that he got busted with having a pistol in his girlfriends name stashed in a pillowcase on the charter plane, but um yeah, he claimed he didn't know it was in there.
