The Bay is goin broke, so dont look for a video on BET anytime soon. It's getting increasingly rediculous to live in California. Shit just cost WAY to fuckin much. There's no way gas in Hayward, or Fairfield, should cost more then gas in the middle of Manhatten. This is fuckin rediculous. Here's how stupid it is. My patna and me just got a 1 bedroom apratment in LA, and our rent is 1,200. I have an Aunt in Missouri City, a suburb right outside of Houston, and her HOUSE MORGAGE is 1,200 for a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home

when they played E-40 and the CLIPSE "Qurterbackin" on 106 & Park, they had a Vote for the video thing and they never played it after that. And when they asked the Audience about the Video, All they talked about was THE CLIPSE and did "NOT" Mention E-40 1 single time whatsoever.

BET ain't showin' no love to the Bay unless you really doin't it BIG and I MEAN FUCKEN BIG! So forget about it already....as much as I wanna see Quinn blow up...some campaign to get Quinn on BET is not gonna happen...it's just not...period....Quinn just needs to get more exposure out in other areas besides the Bay....build up his audience....so that means havin' a song with universal appeal to all coasts....big and small....and gettin it in major rotation...I want to start seeing Quinn appear on East Coast and Durty South mixtapes....working with groups like Lox or Young Jeezy...some networkin' shit....honestly, I heard that Bay Is In the Area and I think Quinn could come way tighter then that...

I actually think with a well organized campaign that if they got enough requests for a San Quinn video that they would entertain the idea.
Unless you know somebody with connects in there (and that only gets you on the secondary video shows) you gotta break bread. It takes money to make money. This is a billion dollar industry and everybody wants their cut. YOu get paid when you get played (ascap, bmi) so its no wonder that these sharks want money to do some shit thats supposed to be free, but thats the game playboy.

A lot of niggas in the Bay don't know how to do business. That's a big part of the problem right there. Niggas like to show out to much out here.

One thing we should do is start advertising our shit out here better. You can get a commercial slot on BET for about 3 or $400 dollars. But the majority of niggas out here don't even have they minds in that gear. It will take the person with the right mindframe to put the Bay back where it should be.

To me, it takes big money just to get a spot on 106 and park. You also have to take into consideration that the major labels already have an established relationship with the MTVS and BETS. So them labels finna get first dibs. Shit you think you finna hit the count down when 50cent, B5, That Roc dammie, Nick Cannon, and etc. den dropped millions to build a name for they-self. Yeah right. Aint nobody in the bay on that status. E-40 has been on and I bet playah dropped big bread to go along with his big ass fan base. Its all about the money manne and being connected. No dissrespect, but my cousins in LA, and San diego dont even know who San Quinn is. They homies dont either. He's big here though. He still got way more work to do. But atleast he at it. He on my CD. I been doing my part to give him a boost. "I HOPE PLAYA MAKE IT, BUT I GOT TO GET ON 106 AND PARK TOO. SHIT I HOPE THE WHOLE YAY GET A SPOT. BUT WE CAN PAVE THE WAY FOR EVERYBODY BY STAYING TRUE TO WHAT WE ALL DO.

a lot of you are missing the point

the NATION does NOT LIKE BAY MUSIC

point blank.. harsh fact isn't it?

you play e-40 other places.. they gonna laff.. very hard
thats just how it is... they dont feel us the way we feel ourselves

and until we get other MAJOR spots with shit goin on (LA, NY, ATL) to feel US (not just a couple artists but our scene).. we gon be doin exactly wha we been doin...

Of course you know by now that if you got bread you're gonna get youshit played on 106 and park. E-40 has been played on there once or twice but why waste money promoting an artist on the East Coast ain't nobody feelin. Quinn, Keak and Marv deserve to get that national attention and one day will get it. Majors are looking at all of them right now and hopefully when one of them has their time to shine they won't fuck it up.
