we probably know nothing
We are civilians. We only know what they LET us know. Most of our dirty work inthe past was done insecret. Panama, Iran, Iraq, Guam, EL Salvador, Cuba, most of our dirty work that really had questionable ethics was done in darkness.
This is different. I am not saying it is a holy war. But it is a matter of long-range security. We are warring out in the open where other nations know exactly whatthe fuck is going on. We have only done this a few times in history. That means, to me, that Saddam or his regime is known accross the world to be a threat.
Remember, we gave him many of the weaons he had inthe early 80's. But the threat of biological weapons is very real, realler than they can let civilians know without causing panic.
Remember, in a region where a full course meal costs 1.50, Saddam gives 25,000 to suicide bomber's families. That is major shit. Therefore you have an increase of willing martyrs.
We have dirty hands, too. Believe it. But there is no way They are going to be satisfied until the army destroys all bio weapons. Most people have a relative or friend who was inthe gulf war who can tell you that HELLA people from that war came back fucked up because of the agent orange (I think that's whatthey called it).
ALl it takes is one dirty bomb in a bart train. It would be so easy. Just drop a bag of bad shit in the bart tunnel during rush hour. Man, it would be chaos. You cant leave that kind of shit in the hands of a nut like saddam,
I dont pray for peace. Remember the bible, Quran, and torah say there is a time for war and a time for peace. Wise people know the difference. It's time for war. Let's just hope they doit right and don't have to repeat it a third time.
Like my uncle said, "You dont have time to do it right, then you'll have to make time to do it over." No excuse for us being back there again. NONE. We should have done it right the first time and stopped worrying about te CNN images. Now we have these Vietnam vets inchargfe who believe in using overwhelming force... so I doubt it will be a problem again.
