A porn actor known as Sledge Hammer on screen has died several days after being shocked with a stun gun during a struggle with Los Angeles police officers.
The Los Angeles Times reports ( http://lat.ms/IWetoe) that Marland Anderson died at a hospital Friday morning.
Lt. Andrew Neiman said Anderson's girlfriend called police last Sunday and said that he tried to hurt himself with a knife.
Neiman said he had suffered a knife injury.
Paramedics and officers who responded to the attempted suicide call handcuffed him to a gurney and took him into an ambulance.
Neiman said that once inside the ambulance, Anderson broke from the handcuff and gurney and had to be restrained by a stun gun.
