I dont know how anyone can say he's a bad director.

Even if the script is pure shit, I'll still watch his movies because he works the camera so well, each scene is like eye candy.

Definitely one of the top 3 directors at the moment.

He's not a bad director, he's horrible. Before anything a Director's job is to tell a story effectively and his stories suck dick! He does not work the camera or even direct it's positioning or movement most of the time, the Director of Photography does. In Sixth Sense and Signs he had Tak Fujimoto who also did Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia and Gladiator..

I can't stand him because his trailers are cut well and make his films look exciting, but then you watch it and it's complete crap. Signs was one of the worst films I've ever seen. You can have your nice cinemtography with cool movements, angles and lenses, but at the end of the day the movie was about aliens that hiss and are highly intelligent and yet they're killed by water! What kind of mierda is that?!

Out of curiosity, who are your other 2?

I disagree 100%...his movies' cinematography has nothing to do with my liking of his films...i like his twists...i like the way he has his actors "act"....but thats just me..

Who knows...I might hate your favorite director....thats why they are called "opinions"....
