There's a lot of dirty cops on the street, that also sell drugs and do all kinds of grimy shit on the side. Are you saying we should look past them being police because of all that? They're still cops, and Ross was still a CO. He beat on prisoners, and went home with a smile. Now he uses someone else's name, and raps about other peoples lives. He might be a millionaire now, but all the money in the world can't buy respect.

I see your point & it's valid to an extent & you asked it yourself, "What message are we sending the kids?" That's why the mainstream is where it's at. Hollywood has always been fake & where the money is at, but all of a sudden we demand rappers to be real?

That is not the message I want my kids to get. That in order to be a rapper you have to rap about your real life issues, or not do it at all. First lesson to my kids would be like so...

"See the skinny bald guy with tattoos son? See the big fat guy son? Not me, son I'm talking about the guy in the picture (LOL!) That's 2Pac & Biggie. They were rappers way before you were born & were legends, but lost their lives over stupidity. Death Row Records was a label everybody dreamed of being on at one time & would of made more money, but you know what happened? Them guys kept trying to prove they were gangsters & you know the 2 places real gangsters will end up at?"

"That's right, son in prison or dead. So, if your smart enough to take people away for a little bit by entertaining them, do it and make your money. Stay away from the nonsense and them people who talk trash. You'll never make everybody happy in this world, so don't worry about them or what you need to prove to them. You owe them nothing. The movie & music industry are fake son, but that doesn't mean you have to be fake within yourself. Go for your dream, be successful and never look back or take a time out unless it's worth it."
I am not demanding nothing but looking at the reality of it. If money is the reason to sell your soul to the devil than so be it, it ain't for me. That is how snitches and fake motherfuckers get down, hence, why I only fuck with a chosen few of solid individuals I know keep it 100. Even then, my lifestyle isn't destructive anymore so it really doesn't matter but I can't help it, it is what it is. I am in the minority I know, but I rarely watch movies or tv. I only watch sports related stuff really. All that other shit is a distraction and a big reason why things keep getting worse. You can support entertainment if you want to, that is your choice. I support real shit, every day shit. I love to support rappers looking for a better way through music, not fake industry rappers. Talk to some real ballers in the street or behind them walls. Do they think the game is glamorous and fun? Motherfuckers have no clue. That shit fucks you up. It ain't a game but to some it is I guess.

My sons' interests are definately not the music business or hollywood. Sports, activities with me and his mom, etc. I don't shelter him one bit from reality but definately am steering him away from the things I was into because I know what it does. What I tell him is you want no part of fake shit, period.

Wow! Your seriously contradicting yourself in more than one way. It's honestly sad. Real ballers? What makes them real? Selling plenty of dope? Being that this is the street term for what people called drug dealers in the 80's & early 90's. Talking to them behind them walls? Damn, I'd figure that's more than enough to live life away from that as far as possible, but I guess you want to half step into staying real to your pride, but living a double life by fronting to your son that sports is where your heart is at and he's feeling he's making you proud. WOW!!!!! Just wooooooooow!!!!!!!

Real rappers? HAHAHAHA!!!!! Yeah, teach your son to support a rapper behind walls that pulled a drive by on some other dudes, but ended up killing a kid or an innocent by stander, before he supports simple entertainment. You must not let him watch Sponge Bob because it's a cartoon too. It's not real. No movies, just documentaries on occasions?

Have him quit sports too, it's all fake shit anyway. You ever watch "Any Given Sunday?" Boxing matches are fixed, football players being incarcerated, baseball players on steroids etc. it's all fake when you look at the big picture in my book.

That is what you got from what I said? That is comedy in itself. Try again because we both know who is real and fake in this conversation.

LOL! I'm fucking with you and just had to give you shit. No worries, it's entertainment on my part.

Seriously, I see what you mean, but c'mon Homie. You said, "I love to support rappers looking for a better way through music." so what is the better way in your opinion? What if that rapper you supported ends up mainstream? Does he stop being real?

I was having a conversation with you and you took it to another level trying to insult me. In person our conversation would end at that point, nothing personal.

My whole point is that people have no business speaking on shit they have not been through. It is what is wrong with our society in general on all levels. I do contradict myself at times because I am human but i know my beliefs and overall person is doing the part to help, not destroy. That is what matters to me. The youth don't have a chance with the Rick Ross's leading the way. That is my point.

Entertainemnt is just that, I know. But society as a whole was better without it.

breh, if Ross was a real Boss, in every sence of the word, would that be better for the youth?

and there is no way society is better off with out entertainment. thats hermit talk.

why is it that JK Rowling, who has never lived in a castle or met a wizard, can write Harry Potter? cus she is gifted with writing skills. a real wizard may not be gifted as a writer. with your logic she has no business entertaining an audience with those words. do you see where im gettin at? only in rap..

The difference between writing about something in a book, and doing it in rap is that they portray themselves in that image on TV, and in videos. So they're not really saying "this isn't real". If you look up JK Rowlings books in the library they're in the "Fiction", and "Fantasy" section. A lot of rappers/labels go out of their way to create an image, and for younger or less intelligent listeners that's gotta be who they are in real life.

It would just mean he has a right to speak on what he knows and has seen. He trys to hard to be a person he isn't. But then again I don't know him so my comments are me being a hater in reality. If he was or wasn't a co, I don't know. Only he and few poeple really know that answer.

Society was a better place before all this technology, entertainment, etc. is my point. To each his own though.

my bad. terrible example. literature isnt a performing art.

how about Don Cheadle then... he played on OG crip and a police detective. portraying an image. they aint saying "this isnt real". we should know that as an audience, as a rap fan should know that. a young kid thinkin "this must be real" while looking at a rapper is no more mis-informed than if he were to believe a rapper must be real to talk about somethin.

are you saying Del(tron) shouldnt be talkin on space? thats ya'll logic.
