You may be right, I really don't know how big her following is or why it took so long to get an album together. I'm not knocking anyone because I don't know what the reasons are. But if I had an artist ready to release a potential single that gets the spins she did, I would make sure we had an album ready to roll to capitalize if it catches on. An album should follow 2-3 months max.
your right. but the only thing that fucked Kreayshawn was her success. she didnt know Gucci Gucci would smash. no one ever does. she wasnt ready to capitalize on it commercially. the way the industry is now, you can have a youtube hit and be signed, with out having an album thats "worthy". since it wasnt an album single, they cant roll with it like an album single. im sure she also had to keep doin shows to keep Gucci Gucci crackin for future album sales. hope she parlays it tho.

I agree but she fumbled the ball (imo) and unless she has another hit single on the album, it isn't going to sell like it could have six months ago. But we are on the outside looking in and it is easy to speculate. Real artists should be able to bang out song after song like it is nothing. I had a group one time stack their beats, lyrics, etc. I booked two 5 hour studio sessions and banged out every song, one after another, 15 tracks. Took my files and saved them for later. Nothing ever came of it but the point is it isn't that hard if you are talented. It is about the plan and the execution of the plan. If you put a song on youtube that gets hella hits right away that song needs to be taken down. Without a gameplan, there can't be execution.
Whiissssssssssssssper I think I left my gray phillies hat over at ur house the other night. Can you check between the headboard and mattress for me. It's gotta be there
