Kobr Soz concert tonight in CSM!

All I can say is this. I never heard dude's music. I have no opinion onhim one way or the other...but I DO know that this thread is about him doing a show. If this cat is out there doin shows, even if it's old people or whatever the fuck cats is hollerin, then he is out there hustlintryin to make his dream come true. If he is as weak as people say, then he is givin them a reality check. If he ha half the talent, why is he doin shows and you're not. Half the talent, twice the hustle. Ay, like I said, he might really be that weak... but you can't knock his hustle. Question is why dont the artists with good product huslte like that and harder. When are they gonna book shows, when are they gonna promote.....
How come I be in the bay every day and see NO FLIERS, NO POSTERS, NUTHIN....from most artist we've been yay-whooin about. Maybe I'm blind and don't see they hustle.

I'm not knockin' anybody, but i got folks that do shows and shit all through Cali. But you'll never see 'em doin a show for old folks. Where is that gonna get them? I mean I mean, they gonna be up there talkin' bout some street shit and servin cupcakes to tha audience??? C'mon now

When you young and cuttin your teeth, you can't be too choosy. You get a show you do a show. I dont care if it's at Sweet Jimmy's or the Bee Hive. Get out there and Hustle. That's the point. You never know who is in a crowd. You never know when one of those "old folks" just might take an interest in your art and provide a connection you wouldn't have had otherwise. Old folks own record stores. Old folks are usually more established financially. And audience of old folks who are being entertained by rap music have a higher likelihood of having somebody in the crowd who is in the business than a whole slew of cats with their pants saggin. Every performance isn't to sell records. When they say "get your name out there".... there's a reason for that.
Maybe at a concert for youngsters you bring some demo's or snippets - maybe some posters and stickers. At that concert with "old folks", you bring snippets and business cards.
By the way,what is old folks nowdays...30? 40? 50? Its all relative, we never even said HOW old the people were. But a show is a show. Give him credit for doin the damn thing.
