KOBE IS DEFINITELY IN MY TOP 5 OF PLAYERS I GOT 2 SEE WITH MY OWN EYES AND NOT JUST ON FILM.I LOVE THE NBA AND ALWAYS HAVE SINCE I WAS ABOUT 5.I USED 2 HATE KOBE...AND THINK HE WAS SPOILED,AND USE 2 SHOOT 2 MUCH AND ALL THAT.BUT OVER A LONG CAREER WITH MY FAVORITE TEAM EVER,I I STARTED RESPECTING HIS LOYALTY AND TRANSITION AS A PLAYER AND ARGUABLY WILL SAY HE HAS GOT 2 BE IN MY TOP 3...RIGHT NOW...THIS CAN BECOME A VERY TECHNICAL ARGUMENT....GIVE KOBE HIS PROPS...JORDAN IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE..AND KOBE IS THE CLOSEST ANYBODY WILL EVER COME 2 REPEATING HOW HE DOMINATED THE LEAGUE.REAL TALK.

So if you're going by points, and you say Kobe is better than Michael Jordan, explain this: 32,292
last time i checked kobe is still playing and jordan is retired. not saying it is going to happen for sure but kobe can very well surpass mj in points.

I'm still not impressed lol

He's straight outta high school, which gives him more time to accomplish more, but is at the 15 season mark and Jordan accomplished more in 14 seasons.

kobe sat the bench his first 2 seasons. he looked about 160 pounds and there was already a dominant player on the team. so there was no need to rush him into the starting lineup. he sure made up for it in a hurry though.

Kobe also cost his team a ton of games until they got Shaq by shooting when he was triple teamed instead of passing the freakin ball. That's why his shooting percentages sucked.

The guys I listed that were better are guys I would rather have on my team and build a team around. Kobe does have a grip of points and will continue you to until he retires because he isn't a team player by any stretch. If you ask me, Iverson was actually a better scorer but his body wasn't built for the league. He was a tiny dude for the NBA

bwahahah gtfoh! according to your logic jordan is better than kobe due to stats. Kobe's stats shit on tim duncans. not to mention he has more titles and according to you that makes someone better.
stats and intangibles. People like Bird, Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson etc... didn't always have the best stats but they were difference makers in the games they played in. Stuff you can't measure by stats, even with new age stats.

You can't measure how Duncan dominated the post or how you almost couldn't guard the guy. He's the best power forward ever, no question.

I would also bet that Lebron destroys most of the stat columns for Jordan and Kobe if he can stay healthy. He's a big dude so I'm curious to see if his body will hold up.

As far as what Tay said, Lebron hasn't won a chip yet but he's as dominant a player as there is and has been in the game when he wants to be. Can't fault him for not taking Cleveland to a championship with those teams he had.

lebron is still getting by on being a better athlete than everyone else, dude is a freak. it still remains to be seen if he can change up his game as his body ages and he can't bulldoze his way to the rim every play.

Jordan and Kobe both got by with crazy athleticism. They became better shooters as they got older. Lebron can't run the entire floor for even half of his career and expect his knees to hold up, even if he is a freak of nature. Running the court to get a block isn't the best idea for his career long term. I think he can change up his game as he ages and learns more about the game. No reason to believe that he won't make those adjustments as he gets older.
