Kobe should def be MOST VALUABLE PLAYER...mvp is an INDIVIDUAL award and should not be automatically given to the player whos team is in first place because chances are if they are in first (pistons, suns, etc) there is a group of guys doing it not just one.

It is an individual award for a player who has the most value to his team. In the Suns case the group of guys are doing it BECAUSE of Nash being there. Without him and Amare they are a bunch of scrubs.

Reread that...now realize what you just said. With kobe scoring 35 a game the lakers are still just the 7th seed. Now you're trying to say if they take away Kobe that they're gonna make it? You have got to be kidding yourself.

If you can't understand what potential means then you need to re-read it. The Lakers rely to heavily on Kobe and get out of sync all the time. Now if they didn't have him they all would learn to play together consistently and without him they are a POTENTIAL playoff team.
