Westcoast, ur interjected ur opinion as well, so dont get on someone elses case for doin the same. this is a fucking message board, people can say what they want...if REAL business was being run here, theyd do it on the phone, in person, via pm, etc. etc., not on a board for everyone to read. since everyone can read it, they can post too. this isnt a private thing.

on the other hand, DJ's cant play everything, putting all "did u get my cd?" shit aside...i mean, this doesnt go to anyone personally, but dj's cant play everything, just cuz they get a cd on their desk...i mean, think about how often that happens. on top of it, who knows how much is in their control to be played anyway? im just glad they can even do what they do...no nutriding is going on here, lol, and even if there was, its all love cuz their playin bay shit. u cant count on a dj to "bring the bay back" or to sell records for u...

Without getting involved in any of the drama that's taking place on this post now, I have to once again say my genuine thanks and appreciations to KMEL and in particular Big Von and Scotty Fox for even giving us a chance. Thank you to both of you for continuing to support independent music and at least give it a shot, especially me and mine, you guys have shown my folks personally a lot of love and I appreciate that more than you know. But also just the show in general, thank you for that, forreal. I talk to people in other parts of the country and they DO NOT get this, as much as we bitch and complain about our music not getting played, KMEL is trying, other areas don't even have a show for their own artists.

So to everybody reading this, fans, artists, industry people, please keep listening, support this show because it is important to our uprise again for the Bay, very important. How many people that are affiliated with or post on here have been played on that show?? We all owe them a debt of gratitude, a handshake, a thank you, whatever, but we owe them. Honestly who the fuck are we?, and why do we deserve to get played on the biggest station in northern california?, because we have good music?, maybe, but they are giving us, the fans, the chance to be the judge of that with this show and I want to thank them for that.

I didn't even realize this show has been on for over a year now. Let's do our best to keep it up. People please remember we do not realize what we have til it's gone, if we lose our momentum again, it will be even harder for us to come back up.

And for those out there thinking that this is all one sided that we are only struggling, Scotty and Von are struggling hard to keep doing this for us, please know that when you speak negatively of them. The machine (the big company) does not want this, but they are fighting for us, so we need in turn to continue to show appreciation and support for what we have. And as far as the same shit always getting played, in the last 2 weeks I count at least 5 new songs being added to the show with more to come. I know I spoke alot and some of it may seem like rambling, but it's true and needed to be said, and I know yall can agree.

here's some more info for yall, excerpts from a conversation i just had with Scotty Fox:

"u said KMEL is the largest station in northern california...true..its also 4th largest in the country...and 3rd most powerful as far as new music nd listenin audience etc... even On the block at its late timeslot can still get around 100,000 listeners....FYI"

"dude..major labels beg us for one spin on their songs sometimes... they were beggin for ****** spins, cuz we didnt like the song... "

"i get like 20 new records every week from major labels... i may play 1 or 2....."

"this is a business...leave all the thug shit behind...do some real business and eevryone can get money... people dont get it..."

"i dont want no kiss ass..i just want people who handle business properly..."

this is some real shit yall, it is business, we can all win if we handle shit right.
