Of course Kitna would say that. Who would make him a starting QB if the headlines read: "Kitna accurately predicts that Lions will fall short of mediocrity for the 15th year in a row".

JL- the Lions are a bunch of guys Barry Sanders used to hang out with back through the late 80s and throughout the 90s.

They're also the team with that guy Roy Williams who caught more touch down passes than Terrel Owens in the final game of last season to beat Dallas.

As far as this season...

10 is pushing it, but I've seen steady improvements throughout last season. This upcoming season- they'll at least look like a respectable NFL franchise for a change.

Oh yeah, ya'll hear about one of their linemen that apparently "sexually assaulted" a stripper? look through clickondetroit.com and you'll find the story somewhere in recent headlines.

It's crazy how fast shit can change. San Diego, Chicago, Saints.....all suck. Detroit, Green Bay, Tampa Bay....winners. It's a crazy sport man.

I'm glad Detroit doing better though...they've sucked ass for so long. They got hella fucking lucky against da bears though...34 points in the 4th quarter??? wtf!!

Well don't forget Lions started 3-0 2-3 years ago and finished 5-11. I think they have a winning season this year though at 9-7.

p.s. I never made a prediction in this thread....lol

I figured this team to be either really shitty or a playoff team...didn't know which way to go.

I know you were right about Tatum bell and his fumble problems.... but I am calling out them fools who got on me for not disagreeing with Kitna's prediction. You always come through you don't play those hiding games.

I'm a Lion fan, and I'll tell you its way too early in the season to be talking about how good they are or aren't.

Two weeks ago, they were just destroyed by the Eagles. There offense is killer, but the defense is non-existant. Kitna is getting sacked around 7 times a game, or so. He won't hold up, and I don't think JT O'Sullivan will be able to fill his shoes and make the playoffs.

Plus, this isn't the first time that the Lions have started off pretty good.

In 2004, they faced a similar schedule, and started off 3-1.

Week 1: W - 20-16 @ Chicago
Week 2: W - 28-16 vs. Houston
Week 3: L - 30-13 vs. Philly
Week 4: Bye
Week 5: W - 17-10 @ Atlanta

Rest of the season:

Week 6: L - 38-10 vs Green Bay Packers
Week 7: W - 28-13 @ New York Giants
Week 8: L - 31-21 @ Dallas Cowboys
Week 9: L - 17-10 vs Washington Redskins
Week 10: L - 23-17 @ Jacksonville Jaguars (OT)
Week 11: L - 22-19 @ Minnesota Vikings
Week 12: L - 41-9 vs Indianapolis Colts
Week 13: W - 26-12 vs Arizona Cardinals
Week 14: L - 16-13 @ Green Bay Packers
Week 15: L - 28-27 vs Minnesota Vikings
Week 16: W - 19-13 vs Chicago Bears
Week 17: L - 24-19 @ Tennessee Titans

Rest of the season, 3-9.

Lions didn't look too good today.

Like I said, way too early to come in and talk about how you were right in predicting that they'd win ten, when they only had three wins.

They are the type of team that could lose 12 straight.

Offensive line= nothing but shit since I've been born. Is it really Kitna's fault he's the most sacked QB in the NFL?

Defensive line= continues to make high school type mistakes like false starts and leaving open holes.

If it weren't for small mistakes and missed opportunitites, the Lions might actually go to the Playoffs this year.
