He got cut because he lost to a low level fighter. He beat Houston Alexander in one of the most embarrassing MMA matches and Houston is a lower level fighter then he fights Mitreon which can be considered an even lower opponent and he lost in a way that made him look real bad.
Kimbo was there for his name and internet fame but when he is looking horrible and losing to lower level guys not many people want to watch that.
And what the hell is all this talk about how much Joe Stevenson and Mir sucks comparing their losses to Kimbo is pointless.
Joe Stevenson has 47 professional fights and has beaten fighters like Spencer fisher, nick Diaz, Gleison Tibau, Melvin Guillard, Yves Edwards and he was the winner of the ultimate fighter.
Mir has 18 professional fights and was the HW champ at one point and has beaten Minotauro Nogueira, Brock Lesnar, Tim Sylvia. Plus he was a Coach on the Ultimate Fighter.
Now let’s review Kimbo's resume.
Kimbo has 6 professional fights, which is not always considered bad but the fact that out of those 6 none have been huge names. He lost to Mitreon and Seth Petruzelli, and his wins are not over anyone at all they are over James Thompson, Tank Abbott, Bo Cantrell and Houston Alexander and he lost the ultimate fighter.
Kimbo has no leg to stand on when it comes to arguments on why he should stay in the UFC. Fighters get cut often from the UFC, if you pay attention to it. David Louiso (sorry for the spelling) has been cut in the past as well as other fighters that have had trouble and of are lower status.
Anyone that wants to put forth the effort and step into an MMA fight should get some level of respect but at this moment in time he can't cut it in a top organization. And comparing him to other top MMA fighters will never support an argument.
