G-Unit takes a drop from #9 last week to #24 this week with Terminate On Sight [click to read] selling 21,200 copies this week--a 42% decline from last week's numbers. Plies' Definition of Real [click to read] comes in at #26 selling 20,500 copies. Three 6 Mafia grabs the #29 spot with Last 2 Walk [click to read] selling 18,431 units this week. After reports surfaced that the self-proclaimed drug pushin', gun toting "boss" Rick Ross is in actuality a former corrections officer, his sales have yet to suffer this week. Trilla [click to read] sold 9,700 copies this week, only a 4% decline from last week. However, next week's numbers (the first full sales week after this week's revelations about Ross' past) will be the true sign of any fan backlash.

true that! tech has no video or radio push. just online promo and still sold a decent amount. now if he had a bigger promo push with a video/radio then i could see bigger sales. lets see the sales pick up to at least 10k a week.

Like I said in another thread, that simply won't happen unless he gets a video or radio push. That's just the way shit happens. Record sales aren't like the stock market. Sales will always have their first week boost, then it will slowly slow down UNLESS more people learn about the artist and buy their albums. Tech is no exception, and he deserves a lot more sales for an excellent fucking album. Strange isn't doing for themselves like other people would do for them, and that's sad.

I think Strange kind of fucked up with the whole video thing.
The 1st video should have dropped before/during the release. Not a month after the album drops. Then they could have dropped the 2nd one at a later date.

But, you know only one's probably getting made..'cuz I'm still waiting on the Caribou Lou and Welcome to The Midwest vids that were promised. lol

They announced that they're gonna start making a video sometime this month or some shit. Thing is, this shit shoulda been announced around the time the SM samplers came out (along with the video due date around late may-early June). They're way behind on their game.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I seen the announcement, and I think it's cool and what not that we'll actually be getting one that's not done by Prozak, but it's definitely belated.

TRUE THAT THEY do suck at promotion, but just think he almost 60,000 copies independently with no radio or video and he outsold jim jones new album which had a hit single and a video that shit is crazy. AND once they do the STRANGE NOIZE TOUR his album will go back up to 10,000 a week and when its over he woul be at 110,000.
