the problem with "official" record release parties, is the fact that promoters and people that have NOTHING to do with the artist or the label, are the ones throwing the party. the artist is seldom there or even is aware of the function. these cats just throw a party on the day the CD drops, and WHAM!! instant record release party.

2 bad it went down like that. I was at the riot that broke out at Mission Rock when 50 wouldn't get off the tour bus & took off...I didn't get my money back & the event was presented by Violator...

...glad i didnt go. i was gonna go cuz i thought it was 10 bucks then people were sayin 30. i did think it was real though cuz paul wall did a show there a few months back...some bitch called last night was like "yea im at the concert, nobody showed up can u pick me up?" (i said no)

He's known for doing that...

When I worked as a manager at a club he was suppose to perform out, his bitch ass didnt even show up!! The owner paid him and everything....He's funny like that.
He said, "the crowd wasnt crunk enough, for him to go in and perform..."

What a BZ....

Dont get it twisted, Santa Rosa has had it's fair share of people who DO show up...but I knew for a fact that Juv wasn't goin to be anywhere NEAR SR last night. I laughed everytime someone called me to go to that.

On a side note, I stayed at home and got drunk. A Juvenile video came on about 11 last night and I thought to myself, I just saw more of Juv tonight then everybody that went to that release party LOL
