I am me.

first off...ive only worked at KMEL since 2001, so I cant say nothin about why the bay wasnt gettin repped before that.. maybe it had somethin to do with bay artists gettin in fights at summer jams and the OLD management not feelin it.. times change.. but i will say ive been playin bay stuff in my mixes since i started at KMEL.. and Quinn was one of the first i played (Shock the party, Come on In)

Now we've got a better team in place who respect the bay and respect the artists.

Thats cool Scott , thanks for posting on her. You said earlier you Think San Quinn is not paying for all the radio promo. Im just curious what the big wigs at the station are saying? They just came to the conclusion to give one bay artist all this promo. Or like I said earlier Quinn is payiing for it. If you dont know just say so. Thanks!

he the only one with an album comin out this week. We did this for 40 before on his last 2 albums.. and since Quinn's been havin a lot of success with his new song Butterfly, the boss felt we could run with it. Im sure Done Deal hs paid for commercials, but that is different then the promotion. They just gave us the CDs to give to winners. The CEO of Done Deal posts on here all the time. He's a good dude, and we like workin with him. It doest always have to be artist VS. the radio... we can all work together at some point.

As for me personally, I respect Quinn and Chuck, and any artist who puts in work, and always wants to better themselves. Thas just how i see it.

I think if the direction KMEL is going in is supporting local artist who have put in there work and there is a REAL demand for they shit (not just ya potnas and a few chicks you get to call in and request yo song) then they should show um the luv that they showin Quinn... I think if the artist PAYS for commercials and shows that he is SERIOUS about supporting his project (not just throwing that shit out) has a single or two that the people are feeling that fits with radio and has a story behind them, then hell yea show them the luv...but I think it should be FAIR...Good job Chuck (however you did it I don't care you got it done) for making the promo of Quinn so large and good job Quinn for making sure the music supported the hype.
