Piece it together man... Only common sense would tell you that he did it. And used "fishing" as a alibi. That punk murdered his wife and then dumped her body and the evidence in the water when he said he went fishing. He's not getting away with it.

Ahh...if only it was that simple. Even if you know for a fact that he did it, you still have to prove it. That's something you don't seem to grasp.

The guy is gonna walk out of the courtroom smiling.

^I see your point. You're saying that "hard" evidence is needed to get a conviction. I got a good grasp... so what I get from this is... to committ murder and not get convicted...all you have to do is murder the person and leave no evidence and you should get away with it. Got it!

Now this is where evidence comes into play.... he won't get the death penalty because there's no "hard evidence" so they don't know how Laci was killed. So they're going to spare his life. He won't get the death penalty because they don't know how Laci was killed.
