Wing-T

I can see the coaches meeting now:

Coach: "This team can't block the run, let's do the Wildcat"
Assistant: "Um....Coach, the Wildcat is gay"
Coach: "You're right, lets pass the ball instead"

I'd like to see the NFL run the Wing T. Its the only formation that ever knocked me unconscious.
Yeah, the "Wing T" is complicated, but fuckin' vicious if ran correctly. This team in Washington, Bellevue High School has been running it for years! They have their younger school systems running it also, so the players are already use to it when they start in Bellevue High. I watched them destroy Union High School in the Championship Game last year! The opponents couldn't locate the ball and got burned almost everytime. Bellevue only threw the ball like 5% of the time if that! In 2004, they were the first team to defeat De La Salle High School since 1992 and snapped their 151 game winning streak!

At 1:39 you will start seeing some Wing-T highlights...

if they cant block the run why not jus do a regular formation it should still work right? why take the quarterback out plus add another blocker and directly snap it to the runner

When you use a Direct Snap, you have an extra blocker and you speed up the running attack downhill on the defense! Extra blocker and an extra second = MORE YARDS...

What's the point of having a QB in, when all he is going to do is hand it off? I would rather play 11 on 11, rather then 10 against 11 defenders...

To me, it just seems that the Fins got desparate, and brought back an old formation. They couldn't get shit done with todays football formations, so they had to bring in this sissy wild cat shit. There are teams getting shit done that don't run that wild cat shit today. I just hate how everyone thinks that the Fins brought the element of surpise to the league, just because todays defenses aren't even studying that sissy shit, but now they HAVE to, especially against the Fins. I can't wait for a team to get a defense together that'll totally put that sissy wild cat shit to rest. I see nothing wrong with the formations that the teams have been running the past couple of decades. That is just me, though. I ain't hating on none of y'all that love the wild cat shit either. I am just saying that I don't like it and wish it never came back to the NFL. If you like it, cool. If not, cool.

What's so surprising and confusing about the Wildcat though? 95% of the time, its going to be a run play.

These are the best players and coaches on the planet, making millions of dollars...you better prepare yourself for anything the rule book allows.
