Jay is a BEAST man..His presence on the mic and on stage is Legendary and he writes classics in minutes! Most of the time his classic lines are freestyles and he rarely uses anything written in the studio. If you check out the Fade to Black DVD that shit shows why he is the one of the GOAT. Very few can do what he does or has done for the hip hop game.

Tech is my favorite rapper but you cant hate on Jay. He's done shit with damn near EVERYBODY east west north and south and wont stop anytime soon.

As far as age goes...WHO CARES? Mainstream Hip Hop is only about 23 years old right now. Your gonna start seeing more and more rappers turn 30 and 40. We dont know what anyone that age is capable of b/c no one is realy there yet. The few that are still rapping are doing pretty well forthemselves either rapping, producing. Who knows what the future hold man

I'm not saying that Jay better then Tech...but just be real about that shit...you gotta have something if you can get to the level Jay has.

I hate that damn attitude that everbodies in it for money, people need to go away from that idea that rap is ideally a business, it is meant to be an art form and an expression, fuckin jay-z ran out of shit to say years ago, the reason he keeps coming back is because there is money to be made, and not only CD sales, but touring, dude makes fuckin grit touring. Everybody on this board has a skewed view of tech he is NOWHERE NEAR Jay-z, tech is an underground artist him touring is for his fans to come and see him. Thats why Jay tickets cost 35-95. Thats why i dont listen to jay-z because HE wants money, i listen to dudes like Woodie who have been putin down heavy shit for years and keeps doin for the love of it and not buyin a third or for mansion for Beyonces hats

Jay is AIIGHT... In my opinion, he got weaker as the years went on and this is coming from a HARDCORE Jay fan. And NOOOOOO, REASONABLE DOUBT, is not the rawest Jay album. Most cats say they were on him when that album dropped but it was a local effort and not even 5K were pressed to begin with. That'll be like cats just getting on Tech when AP hit and then saying they been bumping him since The Calm album. If REASONABLE DOUBT is indeed his best shit, then whoever thinks that... it's a shame... I copped Vol1., Vol2., Vol3., and The Dynasty and Jay to me just kept getting weaker.

Jay to me felt as if niggas gone jock my shit regardless what I say, so I can say I'm this and I'm that and niggas gone ride my dick. I quit fuckin' with Jay a while back.

Like I said man you gotta look at the facts. Most m'fers that get in the rap game come outta the worst/poorest living situations. They from the projects, the hoods and the street. They may freestyle on the block and challenge niggas for lunch money, or beatbox on there chest in lunchrooms to get better at eating niggas, but the bottom line is they wanna get payed!

Tech got like 3-4 songs talking bout that...ROOT, Wanna Be payed, Bout to Bubble. My world (intro) its about getting money to get your life together so you aint gotta be in the hood anymore and your family is straight. Your right...it shouldnt be about the money, but in reality thats one of the main factors in wanting to be a profesional ANYTHING. Look at ball players. They love playing the game, but I aint never met a real ball player that said they didnt wanna get in the NBA, or NFL. And as far as ticket pricess..its all about supply and demand. If Tech was t blow up tomorrow I doubt you would find a ticket cheaper then 30.00 Some of that $ goes into having the bigger venue, paying for more set hands and people security...etc etc...

I been bumping Tech since CBTS and love all his shit yall..so dont get it twisted...but If you wanna try to say he aint looking to get payed like everyone else in the music bizz you need to do your homework....


Money might not be the only factor for him rapping but if it wasnt paying the bills like it is for him would there be a Tech N9ne like we know him today?

I don't like Weezy because his voice irritates the hell out of me.. Everytime I hear him rap, I want to strangle him.
