REALITY CHECK

I voted for "its f*ckin football" but SUH is stupid. Anytime you keep doing things to hurt yo team knowing that the spotlight is on you then YOU PUT YOURSELF OVER THE TEAM ex TERRELL OWENS, DESHAWN JACKSON, ALBERT HAYNESWORTH, BEN ROLITHSBERGER, SUH...

How are you the best linemen on the field and still feel like you have to lose your mind every other game??? I'm a DETROIT LIONS fan and I feel like SUH needs a reality check cause no matter how good you are they will blackball yo ass up out the league and won't look back. Ask former NBA players CRAIG HODGES & MAUMUD(sp) ABDUL RAUF.

true but the NFL has been pussified by all the money it brings in
you can be bloodthirsty but only until the whistle blows, then its shaking hands and "good play good play" patting the other team on the back, for the cameras and the kids

he shoulda known the whistle had already been blown and to just let it go, its a business but it looked like he took offense personally
sadly, this is the case for all professional sports

growing up watching big men fight for their clubs and country with fists, blood pissing out, crowd going crazy, inspired and toughened up future generations.

Now, any fighting or rough play gets punished.

Why are we sending a pussified message to the next gen kids? are they not watered down enough with hipster fashions, metrosexuality, justin beebers..

this world is doomed, kill it before it comsumes us all.

HE'S A BEAST...IF I WAS IN THE NFL I WOULDNT MIND BEIN THE MEANEST MF ON THE FIELD...ITS A BLOODSPORT.
that's the thing though, he's no where near the meanest. He's just the dumbest and most immature. To me being mean is intimidating the other squad. Last time i checked no one fears those lions. Meanest player on the field yesterday was Matthews, he was bullying and punking the lions all day. After every play he would taunt the detroit sideline, he can do that though since he lets his play speak for him. If what SUH did yesterday some how helped people fear his team then im all for it, but in my opinion it did anything but that! SUH realized he couldn't take care of business in between the whistles so he settled for a cheap shot.

athletes are smarter now, and well informed about the effects of playing a sport like that forever. Hard to believe but these cats have a life after the NFL. Ask earl campbell how life is treating him for ballin like that.

After his retirement, Campbell has suffered from debilitating injuries that resulted from his NFL career; he had surgery to remove three of his vertebrae, and he suffers from drop foot and persistent knee pain.

Ok I see your point, can you give me a rough figure of what % of athletes from that era (just use NFL only) had serious problems after football? I'd say very low.

It's a game for gladiators, just like the old days in the roman arenas. I guess they are looking up/down at us and laughing calling us pussies lol.

Craig Hodges became too much of a political activist, saying black athletes should help out there poor black people and basically they were fucked up for not helpin, then filed a lawsuit against the NBA when no team would give him a tryout after the bulls cut him. but is now an asst coach in the NBA, so....

Chris Jackson converted to islam and then wouldnt stand for the national anthem...

as for Suh, he's dirty...

I don't think he's a dirty player, he is aggressive and his feelings are in his way...

but if he keeps it up, he'll lose more than just money in the future..

Suh is a soft spoken "gentle giant" if you will.. and that causes some people to over lok his on field play IMO... he's simply a dirty player.. I'd love that attitude on my team but not if your gonna be stupid about it and get caught right in front of tha refs & cameras and then try to come up with a b.s. excuse..

He made a stomping motion, he didn't really hit anything.
O-lines are dirty as fuck and almost never get called for it.
Suh should have at least made that stomp count since he got ejected for a whiff.
