People who say Pac is overrated are either too young and were still leaving shit stains on their underwear or are/were fans of pacs victims/enemies. (i.e. biggie and bad boy). Pac to me was a preacher. A father figure to many of the kids who didn't have a father. His songs provoked thought. IMO If he was still alive America would be very different from how it is now.

"The tragedy of Tupac is that his untimely passing is representative of too many young black men in this country....If we had lost Oprah Winfrey at 25, we would have lost a relatively unknown, local market TV anchorwoman. If we had lost Malcolm X at 25, we would have lost a hustler nicknamed Detroit Red. And if I had left the world at 25, we would have lost a big-band trumpet player and aspiring composer—just a sliver of my eventual life potential." From the Foreword by Quincy Jones

its true that he is one of if not the most imitated rapper of all time, and for that and the pedestal he was put on after he died then yes he is over-rated. Same goes for Biggie & Mac Dre. These are all artists that were good but died when their popularity was at its peak (starting to peak for Mac Dre), and people took their deaths and ran with it, buying all their older albums, wearing their faces on t-shirts, putting them in rap songs, and trying to emulate them on their albums. I only wish people did that for Big L & Big Pun who were each lyrically better than the 3 of them combined IMO. I just find it funny that people idolize pac so much and don't really show the same for snoop. snoop is the reason there was a death row for pac to be on. he basically took the idea of nwa and made it into an entirely new genre of music. but even I wouldn't put snoop on a pedastal like that, him along with pac and big are just pieces in this hip hop chess game.

let the hateration begin.

No, wrong. Snoop Dogg took his style from Richie Rich.

Himself he recognised that many times.

A lot of you all feelin that emotional shit... You all must be into poetry slams n shit like that... I was feelin the gangsta shit more than anything back in the days. GLP's, IMP's, Totally Insane, Ray Luv, E-40, The Click, Mac Dre, Mac Mall, Master P also all the early Death Row shit to. I was feelin all that shit before the DeathRow days of Pac. Those beats on Pac's first shit was weak as hell.

Because, he wasn't gettin' crazy awards, like he should have been. He was viewed as just another THUG by many, rather than a thought provoking artist that changed the lives of young kids AND adults alike.

Ya know, I've met numerous people who DESPISE rap music, but all of those people have one thing in common, they LOVE 2Pac. I'm not sure if it's because of what they realized after his demise, but that is one rapper that is known and loved by a lot of fuckin' people. How many grammy's did 2Pac pull in? Zero?? Didn't Eminem even pull in a Grammy?? Eminem wasn't sayin SHIT when he was on top of his game. What does this tell you about respect? 2Pac was portrayed in the media as a loose cannon, so he was brushed off...he definitely didn't get what he deserved until after he passed away, which is VERY SAD!!

Awards dont mean shit. Back when he was alive most award shows did not have many rap artist award categories. It was not nearly as huge as it is now. Shit the grammy's were white as fuck. Now the grammy's is damn near all urban shit. Fuck an award anyways. It means nothing. Look at the influence he has over people. Weak minded grown men pray to him and everybody knows who he is. Thats not underrated.

You fucking motherfucker you ain`t giving credit to DOUBLE R, one of worlds best rappers.

HERE IS THE PROOF THAT SNOOP DOGG TOOK HIS STYLE FROM RICHIE RICH:

"The reason I formed 213 with Warren G and Nate Dogg is because Richie Rich had a group called 415. I was lovin' his style and voice which I incorporated into my style when I first started rapping."- Snoop Doggy Dogg

Now that youve proven to be a playa hater, shut the fuck and respect the legends

Richie Rich is a fucking legend. PERIOD. ONE OF THE WORLDS best, EVER.
