makaveli & all eyes on me can be regarded as classics, me against the world would be pushing it, but could be...but the rest were just albums with good songs
I guess I'm one of the few that agree with you on that one. Maybe his old stuff the lyrics were sick as hell but I guess the beats didnt catch my attention until the Death Row tracks dropped. Its been a minute since theres been a thread with substance.

2pac is underrated to me. He never got the props/awards he deserved when he was here. He is a legend and was ahead of his time.

How can yall keep saying this? Are yall forgetting that the West was on top when he was alive because of HIM. No respect? All his albums went platinum as I recall.

I think he deffinately deserves all the props n respect he earned. I dont think he carried the West all by himself. You think he had more of an impact on the West than Eazy E, Dr. Dre, Snoop, and Death Row? And Ice T whom I never really felt.

"Me Against the World" was/is one of the most deep, thought provoking, angry, emotional hip-hop albums ever released.

Its a great album that a lot of "2Pac fans" never bothered to pick up because it wasn't Death Row, or after his death.

Because, he wasn't gettin' crazy awards, like he should have been. He was viewed as just another THUG by many, rather than a thought provoking artist that changed the lives of young kids AND adults alike.

Ya know, I've met numerous people who DESPISE rap music, but all of those people have one thing in common, they LOVE 2Pac. I'm not sure if it's because of what they realized after his demise, but that is one rapper that is known and loved by a lot of fuckin' people. How many grammy's did 2Pac pull in? Zero?? Didn't Eminem even pull in a Grammy?? Eminem wasn't sayin SHIT when he was on top of his game. What does this tell you about respect? 2Pac was portrayed in the media as a loose cannon, so he was brushed off...he definitely didn't get what he deserved until after he passed away, which is VERY SAD!!

Are you crazy? Pac Underrated? How many other rappers have College courses at schools like UC Berkeley that teach their poetry? I went to college with grown men who worshiped pac and prayed to a huge wall poster that covered their dorm wall. Literally would pray to pac and light candles. These were cats from New York, Philly, Jersey etc. Pac is almost jesus like to many people Its actually pretty fuckin odd.
for real, when people start considering pac as the second coming of jesus and all that bullshit, then theres absolutely no way in FUCK that he's underrated

2Pac got mainstream attention being himself, he didn't make platinum sales off bubble gum rap like most cats these days do. "I Get Around", "Brenda's Got A Baby", "Keep Ya Head Up", "Dear Mama", "2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted", "Hail Mary". These are the HUGE factors in 2Pac's career.

You may know of a lot of rappers with better word play than 2Pac, but when it comes to depth, and being a well rounded, diverse individual when it comes to music...I'd like to see somebody who can hold a candle to 'Pac...that's what made him, and makes him, so great!

Thug Life Didnt what? Go platinum Ok so two out of how many albums went gold. big deal, now days how many people even go gold. Not many
I didn't said anything bad, I just corrected the person who said all went platinum

and I think Thug Life went platinum after PAc's death, but it sold only 700 or 800K in '94 because Interscope didn't let a lot of the tracks to be released claiming they too hardcore to be on the album; so it was only 10 tracks and didn't sold that much

I Love Pac not because of his music but because of what he stood for and what he said. He always said "I might not be the best rapper, but Im the realest Nigga out there" After Pac died that opened the floodgates for alot of bullshit rappers to come into rap. Pac stood for something, unlike alot of these other lame fucks in the rap game now days. anywhere you look you can see his infuence. Biggie to me was overrated. you dont hear too many folks on the west talking bout he was tight. Biggie was cool, but he had a long ass ways to go to be the greatest. People everywhere still talk about Pac, still Bump his music, still cry over him dying. so for somebody to say hes overrated, I say go back and listen to his music and read his interviews and prove me wrong. The worst thing to happen to the rap game was 9-13-96 the day the realest nigga in rap passed away. I cant even really listen to rap no more like I used to. Get mad if ya want to. im just keeping it real. Rest in Peace Pac.
