Nothing beats putting full length movies on your iPod video. I just got the 30GB version the other day. The thing that's weak about it is that you can only put on .mov or .mpeg-4 movies on it. But if you convert your .avi files over you can put some full length movies on it. I was at work watching Chapelle Show the other day. Plus you can put pictures and games on that shit. You need some special converters that are not free to convert the movies over to .mpeg-4 format, but if you know where to look you can steal those.

iPod Video = A+

Everything I downloaded from the siccness is on my IPOD including the videos. I have the 20GB one without video, but I download the videos to my IPOD like a hard drive. Yes you do need I-tunes to organize your library, but not to get music unless you "want" to purchase music. I rip my CD's, make music and convert it to MP3's, and download music from forums and P2P sites as well. I don't know why you're having problems, but as long as my music is in wav. or MP3 format I'm all good. If it is in WMA format, that works as well as long as you have Windows Media Player 10 with the encoder. It's free to download. As a matter of fact I got, some of ya'lls sig pics, I-Candy, programs, video, audio, text, and even can download post & PMs and read them in my "Notes" part of my IPOD. Mine is very useful and avery compatible with the Sicc. I can dig that aspect.
i got a 20GB ipod without the video too, i never knew u can put vids on this one.. can u get into more detail on how to do it?
and also for WMA files, u can just drag that file onto itunes and it asks u if u want to convert it there..

i personally would go with a creative zen micro. dont have on, but i work for a tech support call center for a music download company, and i hear all of the down sides to mp3 players. If you get a sony, its like an ipod, if you want to purchase music, you would have to go to sony. they have their own format, plus anything that is mp3 format. creative is probably the one that is easiest to work with.

in a related note- I-tunes attempted to sue Creative for stealing their interface. after going to court, it turned out that creative had that look about a year before i-tunes, and lost the case. now its the other way around. itunes will have to pay creative a certain amount of money for every ipod that they sell.

GET THE CREATIVE ZEN MICRO...

8 GB of music, FM radio and recording, voice recorder, up to 7GB of data storage, syncs w/ Outlook and a removable battery. I love mine. You won't regret it. Don't listen to these ipod fanatics, you don't need extra accesories. Read any magazine, the Zen just plain sounds better too.

it aint about the money...its about getting the moneys worth. the ipod video is cool, but if you compare a regular ipod to a zen micro, im sure that zen micro wins hands down. best bet is shop around and get what best fits ya.

When you plug in your ipod to your computer, just drag videos over to it as if it was a hard drive. When you go into your PM inbox, at the bottom it ask if you want to download your PM's in 3 different formats. Those formats are compatible with the ipod and you can read notes, raps, PM's all in your "Note" section of your Ipod. Each player is the same, some are just user friendly in different areas, or have added features. I like my Ipod becuase, I can bump it, use it as a hard drive, play games(they'te not super tight but still), and store contact information. The Siccness welcomes the useage of my Ipod, and it helps keep me up to date with the music and my PM's for request. If someone needed a program or mixtape, I just have to upload them from my Ipod. I got damn near my whole P.C stored on here, and still room for songs, that I have no time to upload. 8gbs or 20 gbs... you do the math!

In terms of frequency range and sound, the Zen kills the ipod. iriver AFT-100 = end of discussion.
