IPOD WONT TURN OFF

i searched google and all i could find is resetting the ipod by holdin the center button and the menu but that hasnt worked and the warranty just expired a week ago anyone had this problem i have to let the battery die for it to turn off or i can turn it off when its connected to my comp shit always gets fucked up when the warranty expires no point in even buyin one

i let it die yesterday and recharged it, but it still wouldn't turn off the way its suppose to. The only apple store around here is in frisco

my ipod warranty was about a week expired... I went to the Apple store and told em my shit was fucked up... and it had been fucked up for like a month... dude just asked the manager and told me he'd make an exception and give me a new one since I told him it started fucking up before the warranty was up

i got it at best buy i doubt those bitches will let me do that. I tried the putting it to sleep from the menu, but that didnt work it still shows the menu and wont turn completely off guess im gonna have to chare it everyday til it finally dies and go get the 120 GB one
