^^i read that a lot of people have that problem with the Zen Vision. Hope it doesn't happen to me.

Also, I don't think you can replace the battery for either the ipod or creative video players, which is pretty lame. Once it's dead, it's dead and you gotta cop a new one.

it depends on what your lookin for, the people that say its the shit and they use it everyday, well you must only listen to it for a few hours.
Ipods only have at most 10 hours of battery life, and thats what i hear from my friends. i listen to my mp3 atleast 6 hours a day usually if im busy. so if i were to have an ipod, i would be fucked the next day cuz it would most likely die if i didnt charge. a lot of my friends have had problems with the shit to, just not charging, or freezing, and you can only put music on it from one comp.

if you go with a diff mp3 player, there is a shitty cassette deck adapter that plugs into the cassette player and has a headphone plug coming out that u can get at most stores, so you woudlnt have to fuck with cds, if you happen to have a cassette player lmfao. im young tho dont got a car so i went with a sony digital walkman, 512 mb. ive had for 2 months and only had to charge it twice. holds about 700 songs but yeah no movies n all that shit. charges thru a usb on the comp. personally for my situation ipods are shit...

They're worth it if your gonna use it as a storage device to hold big files instead of puttin shit on a whole bunch of disks. But if you use it just for music hell no. ANd if you want hella beats in your car just get a deck that plays mp3 files. On 1 cd i can easily put over 100 songs. what more do you need

Some people have no clue what they're talking about, but that's ok...I'm here.

1) If you think you cannot use your iPod as a hard drive, you are blatantly wrong. There is an option in the Preferences that allows you to do this. Look for it.

2) You cannot transfer your music from the iPod back to your computer. Wrong again. There are several programs on sites like versiontracker.com that allow you to do this. Most are shareware (meaning they will eventually require $$), but they will give you free trials. I use iPodRip. It's so simple, even you can do it.

3) Updates will cause you problems if you have downloaded music on your iPod. Simply not true. I have had three different iPods and this has never been the case. However, if you need to have repairs done, Apple will erase your whole iPod before they return it to you.

4) You cannot replace the battery on an iPod. If you look inside most computer magazines (I get MacWorld), then you will see advertisements for both battery additions and battery replacements. You can choose to do it yourself, or send it in, but the company may erase your iPod.

Those are the myths. Now they're gone.

And if you think any other player is better than an iPod, then you're just to broke or cheap to shell out the skrill for a nicely made piece of equipment.
