I always dismiss sht like this as bullshit, but i have learned over the years, never totrust govt. I would not doubt that this happened

(AllHipHop News) A new book being published claims that Death Row Records was actually a front for the FBI in an attempt to assault and end black activism.

The new book The FBI War on Tupac Shakur and Black Leaders: U.S. Intelligence’s Murderous Targeting of Tupac, MLK, Malcolm, The Panthers, Hendrix, Marley, Rappers & Linked Ethnic Leftists.

According to the book’s author, Baltimore area native and Columbia University graduate John Potash, he extensively researched the book, which claims to show the FBI’s consistent pattern of undermining black activism.

The book claims that Shakur was deliberately targeted by the government, like other black leaders, due to his growing influence in the African-American community, utilizing Hip-Hop music.

"What I think it was was that he had become the most influential black man in the black community in the country," Potash told The Baltimore City Paper. "The CIA and U.S. intelligence, what they have to do is win the hearts and minds of the people. They don't want to control us by force, they want us to control ourselves by having us believe in a certain way--that we don't need national health care, for example. And here, Tupacwas threatening to win over the hearts and minds of people, he was able to counter so much of the propaganda in the black community."

The FBI War on Tupac Shakur took ten years to research, utilizing court testimony, FBI documents and a number of previously unseen documents provided by The Black Panthers to Potash.

As for Death Row, Potash claims that the government was definitely involved in the record label’s operations, in a continued attempt to harass Shakur and derail his career.

"I believe that Death Row Records, which included dozens and dozens of police officers at all levels, according to a high-level police officer that investigated them, was a front company and was trying to continue penal coercion and mess up [Tupac Shakur's] head," Potash said.

A research documentary also accompanies the self-published book.

We must rise up above all this madness. Even if this isnt true or is people need to come together and end all the cycle of violence in their lives.. im not saying lets all join hands. but we can all make a difference everday if we choose to.. it will take baby steps to get to the promise land but as long as we as a people are headed that way thats all we can hope for.

I agree with this theory 100% and it makes sense.
They just killed biggie as a cover up, to make it look like retaliation. Also kadafi got killed too cuz he saw who killed pac.
If you youtube pac in his interviews, he was totally against the government establishment and his music was just a vehicle so he can express his views publically and maybe one day politically. As u can see pac and big died, and the state of mainstream rap declined. That's not a coincidence.

If you know what's up, you know what's up...

From Black Panthers to Crips and Bloods.

From Public Enemy and "Fight the Power" to N.W.A. and "Gangsta Gangsta".

From "They Got Me Trapped" and "Brenda's Got A Baby" to "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" and "Ambitionz Az a Ridah".

Look at a lot of what started out as positive in the rap game and how it ended up. I don't believe in coincidences but I'm good at spotting patterns.

The music that was once used to keep things peaceful and gave brothers a way to settle disputes without violence is now the exact opposite. Are we savages and it was just a natural progression or is it bigger than that?

Niggaz are quick to sell their own people short for that dollar, all the while not knowing that it's deeper than that dollar. It's about controlling us and our culture.

But niggaz don't want to hear that, they wanna hear glorious tales of hustling, bodying and lifestyles of the poor and dangerous. If we just pay attention to the bigger game board and not just our square in the monopoly, we might start making sense of this shit. But if niggaz are just gonna eat at the expense of the everybody else then don't trip on Death Row and if they were Feds cause the Feds got niggaz by the balls anyway...

That little money niggaz get is cool to feed the fam for a few years until they get smoked or locked up, but past that generation, it ain't doing nothing but bringing more lost souls into this world. Kids w/o fathers and communities w/o leaders.

If we spent as much time knowing our own history and the greatness that's sitting idle waiting on us, than caring about senseless entertainment that don't mean shit, then we might have a shot at getting out of this mess, but nah, niggaz rather get high, clown, beef and talk about some shit.

Do some shit niggaz.

Peace.

I hate to burst your bubble Fore, but the Willie Lynch letter is fake. Feel free to investigate it yourself.

Divide and conquer wasn't necessary to keep Africans enslaved.

This is how they did it:

1. Maintain strict discipline. (beatings and torture)
2. Instill belief of personal inferiority. (still carried today by some)
3. Develop awe of master’s power (instill fear).
4. Accept master’s standards of “good conduct.” (give them a culture not natural to them)
5. Develop a habit of perfect dependence. (take a look around...)

I'm African American.

I was misled and thought it was real for years until I started looking at the facts. And don't take what I said as an attack, its just me sharing what I found out as I would rather have brothers know the truth than go around quoting things that are not fact.

But since you asked here are some links and some simple facts.

http://www.manuampim.com/lynch_hoax1.html

http://www.freemaninstitute.com/lynch.htm

One of the biggest clues that the speech never took place is that it used words that were not spoken at that time, such as "refueling". That word didn't even exist until the 20th century when fuel became necessary after the industrial revolution.

Another clue that it was written recently is the "control slaves for 300 years" line. How convenient is it that the letter was discovered 300 years after it was written?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a European apologist as I know that their economic model of conquering foreign lands for resources and creating a core and periphery system of nations is what is wrong with the world. That said, brothers need to be more critical with our information and look to accurate history to explain and understand our current condition.

There are plenty of false prophets and outright liars out there who pass off false information to keep us chasing our "tails". I've found that usually if the explanation is simple and seems to make sense in the frame of our understood reality, then it is more than likely bullshit that is purposefully made easily digestible.

It's a trick they like to use so they can laugh when we start talking about things that aren't true. If you can dismiss your opponent as ignorant you can invalidate his argument and his cause.

uMuddaFugga is right, doesn't mean we still aren't under a spell and kept in order, just not by no letter. Willie Lynch is just a metaphor.
