I hate cubs fans....and I hate cubs fans who became sox fans last october.

Quit living in the past. The cubs will never have Wood, Prior and Zambrano healthy for one full season. You had your chance...Prior...errrrrr....Bartman blew it.

And Buehrle wants to pitch for St Louis because he's from there.

so what he's from there, what kind of message does that tell your team?

Ok, I dont hate ALL cubs fans...just the fake trendy ones.
Just to clarify things, i still hate the sox...always will & I hope your not calling me a fake trendy cubs fan, cause that is hardly the case. i'm with them till the end, even after they let my fave player go in Corey Patterson.

Tigers still will win the the division.. A six game lead is pretty big... And they won't get swept by the Sox again..

The ump was terrible in game three, and pretty much took the game away from us, worst calls I've ever seen, and he wasn't calling it both ways.

White Sox got lucky and had probably the best possible pitching matchups they could've gotten versus us, and I don't think that'll happen again next time.

If we finish August with our lead still around four games, it should be an easy coast to first place..

We have thirteen games agaist, The Royals, Orioles, and Mariners.. Including 6 of our last 9 against the Royals.

And they'll be ready.. We have one of the best managers in baseball, and he's been through this a million times.... They are more ready for this than the White Sox were last year.

OMG....you can't be serious.

Your team cannot be 3-9 on the season against your biggest worry and just walk away from the division.

A 5.5 game lead isn't that big especially the team with the second best record in the league is right behind you. You just got swept and came off a 5 game losing streak. I've been saying it all year long...don't believe the hype. The Tigers will NOT walk away with the division. But everyone was ready to hand them the title 2 weeks ago.

And quit bitchin about the umpires. I saw at least 10 horrible calls in the series against the Yankees last week and we still won the series.

You don't get swept by bad calls at the plate. You get swept by playing bad defense and not hitting.

The pressure is on the guys who haven't been there before...not the world champs. If Smokey Leyland can keep them from cracking then he might be the best manager ever. If not, he's just another mortal man who smokes a carton of non-filters a day.

6.5 Games Up...

The reason why the Tigers are walking away with the division is because the Sox play terribly against the rest of the division that aren't the Tigers.

Comparision of Records versus Division Teams:

Tigers vs. Twins: 10-5
White Sox vs. Twins: 5-5

Tigers vs. Indians: 12-4
White Sox vs. Indians: 5-6

Tigers vs. KC: 11-1
White Sox vs. KC: 9-5

6.5 Games, with a little over a month to go in the season is a large lead. It's the second largest gap between first and second place in any division. Only the Mets have a larger lead...

Hell, the last place team in the NL West, The Giants, are only 7.5 Games out.. Do you think they are still in it?

You guys could sweep us the last seven games of the year (Highly unlikely, but hey it could happen) and then you'd only be a 1/2 game up in the division.

But, the ease of our last ten games should get us the division lead back...

Six of them are against the Royals, the worst team in baseball.. One is against the Orioles, another one of the worst teams in baseball, and then three are against the Jays, who will be tough...

The last ten games for the Sox is four home against the Mariners, The Sox should win at least three of those.. Then you guys go to Cleveland and Minnesota.. Two teams you guys have struggled against, and the Sox won't be playing at home, either..

The Tigers have the division, barring a complete meltdown, while The White Sox never lose, which I just don't see happening.

I really hope the Sox win the Wildcard, though... Just because I don't want to face the Yankees or Red Sox in the first round, I'd much rather face the A's.

And another thing that kinda pisses me off is all the talk about how the Yankees have the best lineup in baseball now, but the White Sox have a way better lineup than the Yanks.

Though I think you're almost a complete idiot....that is a great complement. And I agree. Konerko, Dye, Thome and Crede are all on pace for over 100 RBI and 35-50 HR each.

Don't think this season is over in August. I thought that last year when we had like a 13 game lead in the division. Until it took a last week rally on the road to keep the lead and clinch...in Detroit I believe.

I'd be worried about your pitching and the innings these guys have been racking up. Plus, how much is Marroth gonna hold up when he comes back?

Detroit's lineup is anything but spectacular. Yeah, they can be exciting, run around the bases and score lots of runs....against bad pitching like Texas, Baltimore and KC.

I think this past weekend is a preview of how they can be handled with the starting pitchers from playoff teams. You got a bunch of free swingers who couldn't get on base if they were intentionally walked.

Just remember, it's hard to climb to the top, but easy to fall.

The only pitcher I'm really worried about is Bonderman, he goes deep into a lot of games with nothing to show for it, like against the Sox yesterday.

Verlander will be getting another start off in a couple weeks, and when Maroth comes back, we'll finish the year with a six-man rotation.. I'm not sure how well he'll do, but he'll be very good out of the bullpen in the playoffs for us. I believe the rotation in the playoffs will be Bonderman, Verlander, Rogers and Robertson.. That's a good playoff rotation, up there with the white sox.. And our bullpen is way better than the White Sox bullpen with guys like Zumaya, Ledezma, Walker, and Jones who has been playing really good since his last blown save a few months back.

Is Schilling a playoff calibur pitcher? Not sure, but the Tigers just beat him two days ago. *Sarcasm*

And good thing we play almost 20 games against Texas, Baltimore, and KC so we can score a bunch of runs against there bad pitching.

But seriously, the white sox need to worry about beating The Royals before they can worry about catching the Tigers in the division.
