I went tonight to the one off carpenter and orangeburg. The place was packed. I didnt even realized what was going on to my wife and I got there. She had just asked if I wanted to go with her and her her mom and dad to dinner. I didnt even realize this was going on to we got there and there was no damn parking. Service sucked ass though. We had to ask for our damn check. But what do you expect I guess on free pancake day. They were damn good though. I was expecting them to be dry.

the day that dennys had that thing. ihop did the same thing and said they got a lot of angry regulars from dennys that were annoyed of the long lines.

^^that place is fuckin nasty lol sorry chill but fuck that lol I would rather hit up the roach coach on 8th. Jessica 4 man. Or there is that one taco truck on Crows landing by that car audio shop across from Mi Pueblo market that has hella bomb nachos. Not sure the name of it. Also taqueria guadalajara is pretty good. I came from Santa Cruz area where the Mexican restaurants were twice as good as out here. Seems to me like people just settle out here. They get a place and eat the food and then call it "bomb" eventually settle on it and call it good lol.

its not so much about settling.. its just most folks arent picky.. as long as the meat the taqueria is chopping up isnt all fat im good with it, and the salsa has to be fresh and not soggy.. that's all i ask.

^^its not about being picky its about life outside the valley. Im so sick of hearing that bullshit response. You don't have to be picky to have good taste. Now i see you from the west bay or maybe even in the valley im not gonna judge. All I am not saying is I have good taste in food and that doesn't make me picky. Just cause I don't settle for nasty ass shit or lower myself to the standards of today's crap hole Mexican restaurants or any food restaurants for that matter doesn't make me picky. I can name off a shitload of good places. Lol it aint my fault Modesto doesn't have any of them lol.

thing is i dont really be eating alot of mexican food at restaurants but rather at home.. but yeah there is alot more shitty restaurants than there are good ones. One of my favorite restaurants closed down last year.. they had the best tacos.. they used big chunks of meat in their food too.

^^you cant beat at home. Especally coming from Mi abuela who throwns down some good mexican food. Sit down to eat and before your even done with your first plate she is already serving you seconds and if you choose not to eat it or turn it down its considered rude. Two things will happen, either she will get pissed at you for disrespecting her cooking or you will hurt her feelings lol. Man o man never went hungry there. Tortillas with home made masa or home made sopes which are hard to find in mexican restaraunts surprisingly.
